What brainpan came up with this horrible default GUI for the Q10?

I mean, one plus to add apps would suffice would you not agree?

Sure as a default template, but give us the option to edit as people would like.

I have two plus signs including my apps that do exactly the same thing.

And get rid of facebook, skype and chrome. those that want these features should let them add them as options.

Is there a clean gui even if its modded or custom?

I have alot of experience with different brands and mediaboxes and the Q10 has potential, but with lacking features like custom screen size, zoom, custom aspect ratio and a better thought out remote control there are better alternitives to Q10 and Q5. sure they are abit slower but have more features and a way better gui!

Cheers!

You're talking about the launcher. It can be replaced entirely very easily if you don't like it. Just go into Play Store and search for 'launcher'. Or you can set something like Kodi to startup on boot. Go to My Apps, find Kodi, press menu key on remote and select 'default start'.

Hi Guys!

Q5 Pro owner here on Custom Firmware 2.0.4 and I really like the look and features of this custom firmware but the alert sound on startup surprises me all the time especially when I have the volume turned up. Lol. If I wanted to give the official 2.0.4 a try, can I just reflash via usb the official 2.0.4 firmware on top of Custom Firmware 2.0.4 or do I need to downgrade to an older firmware first before applying the Offical 2.0.4 firmware?  I had come from Offical 2.0.1 then 2.0.3 then CS 2.0.4 Cheers and thanks in advance! Keep up the excellent work guys! Loving this box!!

If you have 2.0.4 installed (either official or custom) then yes you can reflash other 2.0.4. No need to downgrade. Use the restore button method.

Does anyone else have power off issues with cfw 2.0.4?

They seem to be random every other day.

More detail please about the issues?

Sometimes Q10 Pro will not turn on or off correctly.

To elaborate:
I have the lcd clock turned off, so when Q10 Pro is on,
the tiny power led in the corner is glowing white (red when off) and the circle in the middle is also glowing white.

So... sometimes turning on/off ist not working:
the circle in the middle will be glowing white while the power led will be red.
No signal to the AVR, the internal hdd is running.

In that case, i pull the power cable and plug it back in.
Only happened with cfw 2.0.4. so far.

Thx for that workaround, but as stated above, it also happens while trying to power down the box.

I noticed it does not keep the wi-fi  off settings after the restart, wi-fi and ethernet are both open.

Kodi can be updated either through Google Play Store (with auto update an option) or by downloading from the Kodi site.

Any version of standard Android Kodi can be installed.

"Is not operational, because current HDR mode is not SDR"
That is the feedback I get, when I try to change any setting in the Imprex menu.

The material I am watching is not HDR (it is SDR 720p)

How does one bypass this lock?
