Hello. I have a problem after I migrated from Android 5.1 to 7 and after a changed the firmware to 2.0 and after to 2.1 cs.
On both firmwares (officially and custom) i can`t connect Himedia Q5 Pro to my 5Ghz wifi network, only on 2.6 Ghz.
I mention that on Android 5.1 i could connect it.
It appears on the list of wifi networks, but when i insert the password it doesn`t do anything.
Sorry for my English.
Thanks in advance for any tip you have.

I can connect to 5Ghz network on 2.0.1 official no problem. The CS version shouldn't be any different in this regard so I think the problem may be something other than the Q5 Pro.

Try resetting your router and forgetting 5Ghz password on Q5 Pro (Settings - More Wifi - SSID - Forget).

I tried that. (reset router, upgrade firmware on router, make static ip on router for Q5). Nothing worked. All other devices in my house can connect to 5Ghz network (TV and smartphones). It must be something with android 7/firmware and router. If any help, my router is TP-Link Archer C9.

Wrapper should still be installed.

* How to reinstall or uninstall wrapper? Using firmware 1.0.5 or later go My Apps - Wrapper and select either 'use wrapper player' or 'use Kodi player'. Toggling to 'use Kodi player', exiting wrapper app, then running wrapper app again and selecting 'use wrapper player' will reinstall wrapper.

If you've lost the wrapper app somewhow the apk for latest 122916 version is here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ai52h2kaz4z2q5i/Wrapper-1.0.1_HMD_1229_Release.apk

where to download firmware 1.0.5. player

You almost certainly have firmware 1.0.5 or later installed. Firmware 1.0.5 was released in ~ May 2016.

Got to My Apps - Wrapper and select 'Use wrapper player'.

A new look for sure.

For me, it wasn't as stable - kept getting crashes which I never had with official fw.  Kodi crashing and also Google services (I didn't try and update OTA etc..)

So just currently flashing official fw back onto box.

No stability problems with pcristi fw here. It has more and updated apps and improved appearance.

If you are only going to install one firmware I would recommend the pcristi firmware.

Maybe a bad flash. I have the box working as I want now, finally, with Kodi 16.x and the wrapper/refresh switcher etc.. so will leave for now :)

Mount points to original place
Samba --> /mnt/smb/
NFS --> /mnt/nfsShare/

I must have been half asleep when I flashed this.

I didn't even flash pcristi firmware, I skipped right past it at the top of the page....apologies!

I will try it now :)
