On the Himedia website the software is the same as on futeko website?  On the himedia website there is no software for example to Q10 and futeko is why?  Thank you futeko for all-round help, that s    why  I    bought himedia because of the support of a big plus.

The firmware on the HiMedia website is the same for the same version number.

HiMedia haven't updated their site with 2.0.8 yet (at least not visible in the UK). They will do very soon.

We recommend always installing using the reset button method, not through the menu.

Updating through the menu is sometimes possible for minor incremental upgrades (e.g. 2.0.7 > 2.0.8), but whether it works flawlessly is unpredictable and dependent on apps you have installed.

For CFW 2.0.6 to official 2.0.8 I would strongly recommend the reset button method as described in 2.0.8 firmware thread.

Just asking: there is no information on Dolby Vision support for the Q10 (probably wont happen of course) or any other upcoming mediaplayer maybe? Dolby is just silent and thats it right? Just wanted to quickly ask that knowing that DV is still the best out there ^^

HiMedia Q5/Q10 Pro hardware is capable of, and was designed for, Dolby Vision. The problem is Dolby need to provide a licence, which they show no signs of doing. As far as I know Dolby have refused to licence any media players for Dolby Vision.

licensed are oppo and lg players... as of today, unfortunately. even cyberlink has troubles to obtain a licence for powerdvd.
let's hope that HDR10+ will send DV where VHS sent Betacam...

Even less probable, but the ideal would be (at least mid-level) TVs with Android OS and decent all-format supported built-in media players, including both HDR+ and DV, with HD audio capable ARC.  And with the Android OS recently updated, and not just for like 1 or 2 years. Some higher level TV's have now -quite- acceptable media players, but lacking KODI or SMB playback or some format support.  Some releases are already dual-HDR, so both HDR and DV masters are included. Hope this will be a more common solution in the future, so losing just the DV won't hurt that much...

Yeah they are licensing the UHD Disc players and the Oppo is one with a multimedia capability included.....and thats why he is that expensive :) All Himedia has to do is sell a Q10 version with a disc reader for maybe 100 more Euros/Dollars and then get the license for DV :)

I chose the reset button method to install 2.0.8.
I chose Kodi in My Apps as standard.
Kodi starts about 1 minute after booting. In 2.0.7 it started immediately after booting.
It seems to be App independent. When i chose Chrome as standard, there is a delay of 1 minute too.
I'm confused!
Any ideas?

Got it:
Well, i started a few different Apps randomly. After that i started Kodi. It showed "preparing for first run" supprisingly though not started the first time. After that i chose Kodi again in My Apps as standard. Now it starts without delay after booting.  :o
I can really tell i'm not a friend of this primitive android fumble  at all. There is some shit like that after each update.  :-\
Very anoying.
