I always use the stroke effect for subs, once set it stayed stroke for all movies. Not with this firmware, it switches back to default bold setting, has to be set for every movie again. Bad bug or mistake in design. Will try cfw, hope this is better.

Hi Prisci, thanks for your reply. I tried that one after the post I made, got if from your media account. Installed it as update.zip but no success also, problem stays. I try the latest CFW from you, HMD-2.1.7 2020-08-18.140128, or latest CFW Lite 2.1.7. If not works I will roll back to CFW 1.4. --> installed latest cfw lite 2.1.7 which does not have this subtitle problem.

Did you install the additional software package including google play, netflix, etc? See page 1 of this tread the first note from STL. Also needed for pcrisci cfw lite mstyle.

Hello from Spain. I have installed the FW 2.1.7 and the software package and everything is fine. But when I choose the Spanish language nothing happens. The options are still seen in English. It is normal? it has a solution?

What does this really mean in practice? All setting changed (e.g. subtitle position or turning off the Imprex) reverting back to default when opening a new video file, so one must adjust these all the time again and again?

I'm still on 2.1.1 and this makes me really consider to update to 2.1.7.

Can someone tell if the Auto framerate (or Frame rate adaptation) switch is present in the main Settings->Playback menu again in this FW or is still only reachable through the HiMedai Players's own menu during playback? (I mean the OFW version off course, not the CFW).

Looking for help, I have just updated from 2.1.1 -> 2.1.4 - 2.1.7. I can't see how I can now download apps, the store seems to have disappeared?

UPDATE - I have just re-installed the software pack and the store is now there (however my Kodi has gone - I'll have to re-download)

Same here, came from 2.1.2 and to 2.1.4 and then to 2.1.7 , everything was fine ..

tried to install the software pack , now all apps gone .. no store either ....


UPDATE :

OK , its better to update to 2.1.7 and wait for the boot completely , DO NOT OPEN ANY APPS , Just Turn it off after it boots into the OS.. ( if needed pull the plug out and reconnect , thats how i do updates) and then load the software package onto the USB and update..


Now i got Kodi , and all other apps.

If apps are used , i think it deletes all apps ..

What this really means? For example, if I set the position of the subtitle during playback of a video it resets the position each time when I start another video?

Netflix wont stream. error NW -6- 404.
DRM info: HDCP - 2.2; Security level 1

Hello!

Can anyone confirm/unconfirm that the Miracast option is working with this FW?
This is the unpacked app folder of the upadte.zip file of this FW:


As you can see, there's also a Miracast app listed. But it's still a mystery if it really installs by default with the FW and works as well. (If not so maybe someone can try to install it manually from the system apps menu from the Android Settings somewhere.)
