Pcristi, I do apologize, it was indeed unknowingly. It will take some time to get to the suggestions you've made in your comment. I will give it a try, although I'm not confident in how to access the suggestions you've made in the settings from my HiMedia Q10 Pro? ? ?

Thank you pcristi your suggestion seems to have fixed the problem. I will update manually from now on the android apps and not update the Google app.

Well, I have made the changes according Pcristi's suggestions, and by watching various content yesterday evening it occurred less than before the changes. However it is still there. I'm curious how to get rid of it completely. Has the white scanning effect around the screen disappeared for you Atkinson?

Hi Dutchie. Yes the scanning band has disappeared for me completely. I've watched 3 movies and been using tivimate for IPTV and haven't noticed the white scanning band anymore. It used to be quite bad when powering up the Q5 Pro as the scanning effect would happen 4-5 times upon every reboot of the box as well. All I did was uninstall the latest update for the google app in the pcrisiti image and set everything to manual so I control all updates.

Today I checked "Google Playstore app" at the Q10 Pro and the automatic updates were ON again so I did follow Pcristi's instructions again and will see tonight if it works. Yesterday, just 3 times the white scanning effect while watching a movie. It gets better! Thank you very much Pcristi for your valuable suggestions, and Atkinson for the update.

Hello Pcristi. I wonder if I can flash the new S500 ATV rom into Q30 since they have the same Hi3798mv200 processor and almost the same specs. If not, can s500 ATV rom be ported to Q30?

Hello nic9boy
"new S500 ATV rom"?
update_ota_20200103.045543 is more then one year half old from when HiMedia release and VN dealer share on the site.
S500 ATV use Android 9 secure firmware with fully different partition structure which so not fit on Q30 without repartitions and take a risk one permanent hard brick. Because of Android Verified Boot will portably not boot on Q30 event reparation will be succefuly done.

Port S500 ATV on Q30 don't now, I'm a one to try as I don't see the benefit.
Let's suppose someone will get a way to successfully boot and basic working, then will need to deal with already know not working HiMediaVideoPlayer and to check if BT/WiFi can get working or passthrough/display AFR can be fixed and many more because of security restriction of Android 9.
Not the last how to downgrade to Android 7.

Enjoy HiMedia player.

Thanks for clearing my mind Pcristi!
I've used your lasted ATV rom on Q30 for awhile and it gives me the greatest experience ever using the device.
Thank you very much for your contributions to the himedia users' experience!

I don't know what I did to my Q5 Pro. I went to install the latest android tv custom firmware.  About 15 seconds in it restarted,  now it doesn't work.  Is there any download to correct and wipe clean the firmware?

adb connect <ip_player>
adb remount
adb shell "echo '127.0.0.1       localhost \n::1             ip6-localhost' > /system/etc/hosts"
