I'm having difficulties knowing if this patch is installed correctly.
Does this even work with Android 7 and Kodi 16.1 ?
Because when I play a video with 25fps I get a notification of Hi-Frequency that it changed the framerate to 50hz.
However my tv still displays as 1080p/60hz. Same goes for 23,976fps movies. And I still have some slight stutters every 20 minutes or so.
I have done step 2 also since I'm running Android 7.
It sounds like you have the Kodi add-on installed correctly but not the extra step 2 patch for Android 7.
Are you sure you installed the patch correctly from a PC? I suggest trying it again.
So I have the repo installed then I do this:
- Execute RUN_ME.bat at command prompt
- Insert Q5/Q10 Pro IP address
-Press enter after IP address I assume
-I don't pick any of the options given by the workaround
-I install the addon and do the rest.
Also have tried using the command to install the addon which worked. I can see that it reboots the player.
But the TV display stays at 60p. Where Hi-Frequency notifies me that it has changed the framerate.
