Hi Pcirsti,
I did almost the same, also used notepad++. What did the trick was 2 parts, the clear data of the launcher and  the removal of the com.himedia.launchermstyle which will be copied back again after reboot but now works with the changed xml's. Now it works, I have Kodi at number 1. Thanks!

This custom version is awesome! Thanks @pcristi!

I have one question, I was previously on 2.1.1 and there was an option on advanced settings that allowed the Q10 to automatically be shutdown after some time the TV was powered off, it was called HDMI Suspend Time (5 minutes, etc).

On 2.1.7 it seems there is a similar option, HDMI CEC, but it works on the other way. It power on and off the TV when the Q10 is power on or off.

Anyone knows if there is someway to have the previous option back, or maybe is hidden somewhere else? I prefer the previous option as I don't always want to shutdown the TV when i power off the Q10. But I do want to shutdown the Q10 when I power off the TV, that was basically was the thing that the old option allowed.

Thanks!

Hello everybody. hello @Pcristi, hello @futeko.com
Haven't been here for quite some time, I saw 2.1.7 and upgraded today, plus the old tricks - patches for framerate, samba, root, etc.
One question - WHY isn't the OPENING POST updated with 2.1.7? It says LAST is 2.1.4?
Cheers. Congratulations and thanks Pcristi.

Anyone knows if this feature can be restored? Thanks!

Hi,
Since I installed CFW 2.1.7 I noticed that SAMBA service is not working as it should be. Whey try to access my Q10 pro it keeps asking me for username and password. Even if remove the password option it keep asking me.

Also what is the difference between CFW 2.1.7 and CFW-lite 2.1.7 mystyle?

OK, a few days now on CFW 2.1.7, with framerate and samba patches...
It seems it is less enjoyable, since many interrupts during movies (with wrapper) for handshakes on image, it can happen every 2 minutes or so... which is UNACCEPTABLE...
I setup framerate switch adaptation OFF in both settings of player and PQ in wrapper, maybe this is the cause.
I uninstalled framerate switch patch, also.
Will post results. If not working, back to 2.1.4 with new mediaplayer app...
What could be causing this, is in many films, series, more or less...
Cheers.

PS - LAter Edit - with patch uninstalled and framerate adaptation OFF in settings of Himedia, is a little better.

I had the same problem with HDMI Handshake issues as well,  I fixed it by setting framerate switch adaptation OFF in "settings"

I discovered that, too. Thanks, is is better, but not OFF completely, still there are handshake issues at every beginning and after every end of video (coming back to Kodi menu), but apparently not BlackScreens anymore.

I installed the latest version 2.1.7 and got the issue with AppManager due to comma as decimal separator.
Is it possible to change to dot in settings or it's a doom?

It's a bug on Google Android 7.0 witch need work around on code/smali of AppManager that is over me knowledge.
If you can't use with English setting then try CS-AK CFW HMD 2.1.7 [MStyle].

How does AppManager behave in Spanish, French, and Japanese? does it also give errors?

Easy to check on Settings/Advance/Storage or Settings/About/Storage.
European countries like Spanish, French use , then New AppManager will crash.
Free space is return string not Floating Decimal as AppManager expected to be.
More info about decimal separator can read on Decimal separator wikipedia page.
As free space working on new settings(MStyle_SettingsUI.apk) maybe you can try port smali from that to new AppManager(MStyle_NewAppManager3D.apk).

Yes, expectation for CEC is to work in same mode as in OFW/CFW.
