Installed cfw 2.0.7 (previously had cfw 2.0.4).

DD2.0, DD5.1, DDP5.1 work fine with kodi 17/spmc 16 (audio pass-through), DTS works (wrapper required), but no sound with AAC in kodi/spmc or internal player.  All are mkv files.  Any idea what the problem might be?

Hello everybody.
Please teach me what to do because I cannot seem to find a button when playing audio music (flac) to activate SHUFFLE/RANDOM playbback from a directory on the internal HDD. I am on 2.0.6 CFW.

Hi
I installed the 2.0.6 and i use Mediaplayer instead of kodi.
I play mediafiles from synology ds215 .
My problem is that i always have to enter my Login and password, allthough i set the ip from himedia in the permission list in my synology.
I created shortcuts in the menue of the Mediaplayer and i am allways been asked for Name and password.
Any Solution on this?
Why does one have to login into a internal player?? This isn't another Zidoo deal with authorization failures?

Hello everybody,
look what screen popup I got during a movie pause.
A message from KODI that they lost the appeal in a court of law, and they are short  of money, requesting donations...
What do you think? Is it legit?
I attached screen photo taken with my phone.
Cheers.

I did not see it on my Q10 Pro. I would say it is not legit, @mihailucan.
Riddle me this, riddle me that

Could be from one of the many Kodi Add-Ons that I have, or the kodi Repository site owners...
Any way, another strange thing happened yesterday, too, for the first time.
When I pressed Return twice to exit a movie, something VERY WEIRD happened. Suddenly, the image stopped and screen went back to launcher, BUT the sound of the movie ending kept playing PLUS the Music player started playing one of the audio files i heard some time ago.
I don't know which music player was since no skin was loaded, ONLY the sound. Probably Neutron came above the soundtrack of the movie.
Very peculiar malfunction.
Any of you had something similar to this?
Could be a hack through one of the Kodi add-ons, since right after this sound overlapping I got the popup screen from Kodi asking for Donations?
Anybody any ideas? @Futeko?

I think the message and the error are related to an add-on you have installed and not HiMedia firmware or official Kodi.

@Futeko
Thanks for your kind and timely reply.
My next question then is "is there a log file under Kodi or any other way to pinpoint WHICH Add-On is guilty?"
Cheers.

Later Edit: Next day, during FTP file transfers to the internal HDD, the transfer protocol started to cycle stop/go/stop/go several times and then all of the sudden the HDD died, definitively. No attempt (disassembly, low level intervention, easeus) nothing worked. it's dead, with all my music, video, documentary and 4k movie collection.
Strange game...

Hi everyone. This is my first time here.
I have a new Q5 pro using a firmware that has no reference anywhere.
Out of the box it cames with: HDM-1.1.0 2017-04-08.224716 / Android 5.1.1 /Kernel 3.18.24
The box seams to run everything fine but I cant upgrade the software. I've tried all the normal procedures using the official software from Himedia website to upgrade from Android L to N.
But everytime it shows an error after the update bar barely starts.

The box is in English and no chinese words appears when i start the box. So I assume it's not the chinese versions.

Can anyone help me or just point what firmware version should I use to upgrade?
And last question. To upgrade to the custom firmware, i must upgrade the original right?

Thank you
Kanoysta

Hi,
You're probably using the correct file Android L to N. Make sure the usb drive is formatted in fat or fat32 and is smaller than 8GB. Make sure there's a single file called update.zip.

Follow instructions from here:
http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.0

To install the latest version first install 2.0.4 (android L to N) and after that you can install 2.0.7 official or 2.0.7 custom

The forum states it clearly but himedia website doesnt.

Thank you :D

I also have no 5.1 passthrough with 5.1 AAC streams.
