Please ask Dolby when will decides to let manufacturers of media player to get license, for now only manufacturers of disc player can get it.

Hi pcristi, with this new firmware when I turn the box off completely the image setting goes to 1080i, and I normally use 2160p, whenever the power off completely happens, how can I solve it? thank you

Dolby haven't issued Dolby Vision licences to any products except BD players.

But when is that expected to happen? Why would they license it to any mediaplayers? Is that sth. likely to happen?

Dear pcristi,

you "saved" my life with your latest custom FW for the Q10 Pro.
Wasn't able to activate DD/DTS passthrough within standard Kodi but now it works!

However I've got two flaws:

1. SMB implementation does only work manually.
And when I want to watch a video via SMB the videoplayer gets an error massage saying that the video couldn't be mounted.
If I long press "Play using" and select the videoplayer manully it works.
A little bit annoying.

2. When watching a file with Dolby soundtrack (doesn't matter if standard DD 5.1 wiht 384 kbit or Atmos) I get weird noises.
Then I start a file with DTS soundtrack and go back to the Dolby file and then it starts with regular sound and no noises.

Otherwise a big improvement compared to standard Himedia/Kodi software.

Thanks a lot for the 2.0.5 version for the Q10. I finally have audio passthrough again without workarounds... :-D

Can someone help me with this? I already looked for an answer but I did not find it, this is not an official issue.

Hey guys, today I installed 2.0.5 by hoping passthrough issue resolved, but guess what nope it is the same.

My wrapper is set to KODI Player and other settings in KODI is as below, may I kindly ask why it still doesn't work? Once I turn off Passthrough option, PCM works immediately  :-X

@pereira69, I have got 4K TV (2160P, 50 hz) and even though I set res to 2160P 50 hz, my Q10 Pro changes back it to 1080p automatically after a while (or restart). This had been like this all the time not only for 2.0.5  :-\

I don't think so. I recommend you contact Himedia directly: export@himedia.cn

Exactly, that is what I told above. It was always like this for me regardless  official and custom firmwares.

It's a known bug from the very beginning for some (or most) of the users. Looks like the frequency of the occurrence also depends on the particular TV modell you're using with.

Edit: may be a completely different issue, but it may be related -somehow- to the HDMI CEC issues as well. I'm juts guessing, but it could worth a try to experiment with a CEC-less HDMI adapter. (This is for the ones who already have one, and for Futeko of course...)
