I just finished installing the 2.05 custom firmware  of pcristi.
and everything seems ok, but I do not like the black and white presentation screen and I do not understand what the one-touch access key is for.
can someone  explain to me what it is, how to remove it from the front page if possible, and also it possible to   change the home page with a color, such as the original fw ???

- uninstall white icons app
- with one touch key you can program the number ( 0 to 9) keys in the original remote to open an app when in the home screen

Can someone please answer my previous question?!: Is the HiMedia Player frequency switcher patch already pre-installed in the CFW 2.0.5?!

I really like this firmware. I like the colors, the 'baked in' features and the removal of some of the stock silly stuff.

However, my TV does not automatically sense 3D and change the when I play a 3D ISO. It plays in 2D. And I forget to toggle the TV for a few seconds/minutes. When I do, 3D looks great.

With 2.05 official firmware I do not have this problem - same inputs, same cables, same versions  of everything else in the chain.

Well, I'm auto-switching again. Not sure what.

Now I'm down to one niggly - I can't get subtitles to default to OFF no matter what I try.

Is there any particular reason why I still didn't get any reply?! Or it's just so hard to decide?!

TY!

I prefer the wrapper player rather than the Kodi player. Is it possible to configure skip-steps for the wrapper player like in the kodi player?
I'm not shure, but i think that worked somehow in the previous firmware.

Well.. I tried the 2.0.5 cfw after my box was getting loads of issues in the past few days (which i now suspect might have been caused by a faulty harddrive... :((

But my experience is best described as 'sluggish', the Q10 often crashes (SystemUI even) apps often crash, restart for no reason and it's as if the q10 is missing 3 of it's core's and the one that's left is in limp mode or something, it is incredibly laggy and slow.

Has anybody else experienced this?? I'm now going to try to install the official firmware, see what that's like.

OK, that didn't work. When i try to reinstall 2.0.5 (both with official and pcristie's) or when i try to reinstall 2.0.4 (again, both official and pcristie's) i get the android bot laying flat, with a red warning sign with an exclamation mark and it stops the firmware update and boots. Not sure what i can do now.

After about 8 attempts it now accepted the 2.0.5 cfw again, will update on progress.

Allrighty, back in "limp mode". Even starting chrome takes about 30 seconds, if i touch any button on the remote while loading the app crashes.

Last edit:
I got the box to revert back to cfw 2.0.4 (kind of), it took a long time but then when it booted, chrome, kodi, pandora and more apps were not installed. When i installed chrome from the app store, it just continued crashing again....

BUT!! I think i managed to fix it now.

I ordered a Zidoo x10.

Thanks for the latest custom firmware, this I feel should have been the software issued way back when the box was first introduced, why bring a product on the market that is half finished, ultimately its the operating firmware which really makes these media boxes work well or poorly. Well done again to all those that were involved with this custom firmware, we eventually got there.

Yeah, agree. But a bit sluggish. Got popups once in a while saying "Application not responding, wait, close etc."
