Q5/Q10 Pro Custom Firmware

First boot take 6-7 minutes.
Entire update process ca take up to 15 minutes, just wait...
Normal boot time is 17-19 seconds.

CUSTOM FIRWARE INSTALLATION DURATION:

Android circle Logo  -----3 min 40 sec
auto restart,,then
Himedia logo----------------3 min 20 sec
So Totally --------------------- 7 min take for installation

Normal Boot time---------- 25 sec(for me), if vary please share it....

Thanks for the fast update! Wich app do you recommend to backup and restore? My device isn't rooted.

How difficult it is to keep data? Because it is a little difficult to restore like crazy after each update, especially when updating from stock firmware to the same custom firmware version. I volunteer to test it, if needed. Thank you for this latest firmware, I kinda like the transparent launcher that you modify.

- Migration from Android 5.1.1 to 7.0 repartition need format all partition.
- HMD 2.0.1 default support widevine L3 need format partition.
- Upgrade from official to custom HMD 2.0.1 requisite see up.
Anyway recommended because user apps version are change it, not all user know to deal with FC, clear data and don't want to change updater-script to maintain this.

I only wanted not to lose /data when updating from official 2.0.1 to custom 2.0.1. I back everything up anyway and I am only restoring very few apps. Thank you for replying, as always

I found in mediaire  new apk file as "HiMediaVideoPlayer_1.0.7_HMD_0104_Release_with_fix_exnternal_POLIAH.apk".
It is for new custom firmware "update_Q10Pro_WIPEupdatethemed_HMD-2.0.1_2017-01-10.164949.zip" or  previous firmware???


Plz give details about "HiMediaVideoPlayer version" of  "update_Q10Pro_WIPEupdatethemed_HMD-2.0.1_2017-01-10.164949.zip".

I Just finished updating to 2.0.1 custom FW. This time I had a backup of my installed apps. Everything went fine. One happy user right here

How did you backup your apps?  I have to reinstall every time I upgrade using paper clip.  Basically, I have to map drives, install apps - and customize.  Would be cool if there was a full backup that restored all installed applications.

Hello. I have a problem after I migrated from Android 5.1 to 7 and after a changed the firmware to 2.0 and after to 2.1 cs.
On both firmwares (officially and custom) i can`t connect Himedia Q5 Pro to my 5Ghz wifi network, only on 2.6 Ghz.
I mention that on Android 5.1 i could connect it.
It appears on the list of wifi networks, but when i insert the password it doesn`t do anything.
Sorry for my English.

I can connect to 5Ghz network on 2.0.1 official no problem. The CS version shouldn't be any different in this regard so I think the problem may be something other than the Q5 Pro.

Try resetting your router and forgetting 5Ghz password on Q5 Pro (Settings - More Wifi - SSID - Forget).
