My questions:
a. can I execute an firmware 2.11 (OFW or CFW) via the local ugrade method and than preserve all previous settings and personal apps
for either OFW 2.10 to CFW 2.10/2.11 of CFW 2.10 to CFW 2.11?
b. I noticed that this topic on the first page has not been updated with CFW 2.11 by futeko. Why?
c.  Can I perform the same process for ATV 2.11 (with reset button or local upgrade method)?
d. What is the main difference between OFW wrapper version and ypur wrapper version?

Thanks in advance..

a. Make backup of Kodi then can do update from CFW 2.1.0 to CFW 2.1.1 from menu.
Update from OFW 2.1.0 to CFW 2.1.1 from menu it is not recommended.
b. Now is updated :).
c. Update from OFW/CFW to ATV need to be done with reset button, update from ATV v2.1.0 to ATV v2.1.1 can be done from menu.
d. Oooo long time ago... playercorefactory.xml

HiMedia wrapper
Code: [Select]
<rule protocols="nfs|http|rtmp|sop" player="VideoPlayer" /> <!--all nfs-->

CFW HiMedia wrapper
Code: [Select]
<rule protocols="http|https|rtmp|sop" player="VideoPlayer" /> <!--all http-->

Preset Kodi playercorefactory.xml after clean install CFW
Code: [Select]
<rule protocols="http|https|rtmp|sop" player="VideoPlayer" /> <!--all http-->
<rule protocols="nfs|smb" player="Wrapper" /> <!--all nfs|smb-->

Hi All,

First of all I'm a newbie - 3rd day using Q10pro.
Original firmware was 2.1.1 Kodi v7.0 - cannot add media through SMB or NFS from my Synology, Kodi worked.
Decided to install newest custom firmware. Firmware installed fine but cannot add media sources through internal media player or even Kodi (8.0) from Synology. Tried ES Explorer preinstalled with new firmware - all working good, I can play movies from any location Synology, my PC, external HDD.
What is wrong with Kodi or internal player?
Somebody? Please help.

Update
Adding sources working well in Kodi and media player. Problem was in Synology share settings.
I had to disble wrapper because using wrapper I saw "Video player" text at black screen and nohing happened.
One more thing, after a few seconds I turn the device on I can see a message "Plex stopped working".

I have same issues when trying to play media using wrapper. black screen with "video player" text. How to get wrapper to work?  :-\

Hello to you all. I'm new here, and i just buy a new q10. I update to last custom firmware, from original. I want to ask, is there a posibility to keep or to change theme, to the one from the original. With originaly colored icon (kodi, netflix etc).

Thank you so much.

You can use any version of Kodi, I think the pre-installed one is Kodi 18 release candidate.

Hello, I have some problems with HD audio with Kodi 18 streams. Dolby Digital and DTS are working fine, but I get no sound with Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD?
My AV receiver can handle this kind of HD audio.
 So I have set passthrough on in Kodi and via HDMI tried RAW and Auto on settings, but still no sound?

Is there also a version for the Q10 Pro with Magisk Manager? Advantage of this systemless root would be that Sky Go works with it.

I second that, It would be great to see Magisk for the Q10 Pro, So many benefits to system-less root !

Try the included player via media center , or Spmc

Sorry, but KODI will NEVER EVER work for HD audio passthrough with these Boxes. How meny times it has to be explained to this "audience"?!
KODI developers  doesn't give damn about any other Android Box/SOC solution except for the holy preferred NV Shield. So if you want HD audio + Android with KODI, buy that pricey "piece of Shield" (presumed advise from "KODI developer team", not from me) and "feel the mighty power within" ;D (or whatever)...
