For me, this are the options:

- RGB 8bit
- RGB 10bit
- YCbCr444 8bit
- YCbCr444 10bit
- YCbCr422
- YCbCr420 8bit
- YCbCr420 10bit

I have the Vizio M70-C3.  Looked through the specs and I find nothing that references these options.  How do I know which is best for my tv?
Anyone else out there with a Vizio M70-C3 and know the best settings?  Testing each of these is not ideal for me, would rather just know what the best settings are based on the tv.

wow, no help at all from anyone re my above question - what a bummer.

Would be nice to get a freakin firmware update that fixes the auto switching and wrapper 4k issues.  this box is starting to collect dust and is at risk of replacement.

I was wondering this too so I did a little digging.

" The difference between YCbCr and RGB is that YCbCr represents color as brightness and two color difference signals, while RGB represents color as red, green and blue. In YCbCr, the Y is the brightness (luma), Cb is blue minus luma (B-Y) and Cr is red minus luma (R-Y). See component video."

I've been using YCbCr444 8bit as my TV doesn't support 10 bit and it looks fine. I couldn't tell a difference between any of the settings to be honest.

Thanks - good info here.  I wasn't able to tell the difference either, which is why I asked for help.  So I expect that 10 bit is better than 8, but is RGB OR YCbCr expected to be better?  Which technology is newest?  I figured that given I have a brand new 4k tv, I would just select the newest / best setting available - IF I only knew which one that is....

Hello guys!
I would like to know what are the correct settings for video playback (or screen size correct settings).
I have problems playing movies where black bars are higher than in other media players, aspect ratio is incorrect , though.
This is my first media player with Android , I own  a WD Live Hub 410 and a Popcorn Hour .
Excuse my English.

Thank you!

If you are talking about stretch image horizontally, try going into the menu -> full screen and turn OFF the full screen option.  Hope that helps!

By Kodi player, the size of black bars can be adjusted. But by wrapper, black bars are mostly too much depending on the ratio. If I select full screen then the objects seem very tall. Something in between will be good if we can adjust. For this reason, I mostly had to select Kodi player instead of wrapper. Kind of zooming feature is very much necessary. My 6 year old media player ( just 80 USD value) can do it perfectly.

I think the full-screen mode does not zoom, but letterbox aspect ratio.

I own an LG TV 55LB670V YAMAHA RX- V477  and YAMAHA RX- V477 RECEIVER .
Sorry again for my bad english.

Thank you very much!

Yes, it does not zoom, just streching. Either zooming or stretching should be done by wrapper. These are old spesifications which should be easy. Many older type media players have it.

Old media playter have 2.5% overzoom for this rezone black bars look smaller that  in 3th/4th generation of  HiMedia device.
Use a Resolution picture for proper setting your LG TV and HiMedia player.
