Good question. Got "500 Firepaper" installed which has gorgeous changing wallpapers. But these remain hidden behind the mainmenu.
Normally Lollipop has an option for the screensaver. Can't find it here only for Wallpaper which does work.

This without using KODI.

I don't totally understand your question, but if you're asking how to activate an installed launcher, then press the home key on remote. A menu will appear asking which launcher to use and if you want to make one default.

Even Media Center has a very limited support for DVD in either folder or ISO format. No menu's and not reading many images. Mine were all first burned to disc and running on various brands of players with none giving problems with any of them.

I will wait for the first firmware update and will then start to report images which are not working. Now using VLC player for DVD as a workaround or using another media player..

This will be fixed in next firmware. 100% for certain. There were some fonts missing from firmware 1.0.1.
