Do you have inside information / news regarding HiMedia releasing a new 8K 'ready' player including HDR10+ / HDMI 2.1 ? The follow-up of the Q10 Pro.

No news beyond what I was told a couple of months ago that there would be an 8K product before end 2019. Any news will be published here: https://www.futeko.com/products/MP100.php

Thank you for sharing this information thus far. Highly anticipatedfor the new 8K mediaplayer.  ;D ;D ;D

There was an official release of the OFW 2.1.2 for Int/EU models on an official regional Forum today. They called back and deleted the download links, after they tested and realized that it won't even install (stops with crashed over Droid logo). It's getting "interesting" :-\... Wonder if Futeko's got the same updates today...

Now in  all machines is firmware 2.1.1.
How come we jump directly to 2..1.4? Where are 2.1.2 and 2.1.3?
Why this inconsequential numbering?
I do not understand: in the lst post the link is to 2.1.4 and TWO changelogs are indicated (2.1.2 and 2.1.4).
The download and changelog is it version 2.1.4 OR 2.1.2? They are both missing, so which is it?

I did download the 2.1.4 from Mediafire, but unfortunately I can't extract the file with Winzip or WinRar or 7Zip. Is there a way to upload the extracted file for this site, or send me the extracted file by e-mail. I would like to have this version very much. With previous "update" versions I never had any problems.

v2.1.2 are only for release Chinese model and I made adapted version for International(European) box.
v2.1.3 are not public release / not change log share with as.
v2.1.4 are last version get from HiMedia for International(European) box.

So from OFW v2.1.1 download corresponding file for your box, rename as update.zip copy to USB pen flash, then install from Menu/Upgrade/local upgrade/....

Change log is indicate also v2.1.2 because official change log for v.2.1.4 get from HiMedia are not include changes like new Music player or some of fixes are refere to bugs from v2.1.2.

CFW/ATV base on v2.1.4 will come late on weekend, CS-AK need more time to be prepared.

TQ pcristi for the ofw 214.

i hv upgraded, satisfied with it. my quick summary, so far...

1. audio files do NOT work with media center; but they work with file manager... this may be a bug..? very nice UI for audio, i love it!
2. local playback, download subtitles now work, excellent.
3. playback, control bar.. great to see it working with mouse... except it won't work if u click on the bar, need to drag the bar..  why is this?
4. missing subtitles... can't tell.. anyway, i don't hv this problem before. so OK... maybe it's for exotic files, unique subs..?
5. wrapper kodi, BDMV. yes... OK now. (but i don't use kodi for playback, prefer native player).
6. mk3d, nfs... can't comment, not using them.
7. reinstalled autoFMTswitch_1.3.9.1, doesn't work... will wait for yr update.

Overall, OK, happy with it.

Can someone confirm this?

Also interested, if the colorspace/bitdepth switching bug is still present or fixed?

THX!

Just installed from 2.1.1 to 2.0.3 (hoping in a better reset) and finally 2.1.4

- colorspace/bitdepth switching bug is still present.
- Kodi version is 17.0 !!!
- Audio files work for me. Tested  FLAC files at 96KHz and Denon played at 96.
- Display Settings shows also: 4096x2160 at 60, 50 and 24 Hz.
I didn't test any video yet.

Is there any solution for Dutchie53? Because I really would like to have this 2.1.4 update. Please do not ignore my previous post.

I downloaded this file: "update_Q10Pro-HMD-2.1.4 2019-05-31.171152" and just renamed to "update.zip".
No extraction is needed.
