I have none of these -recently listed- issues with OFW 2.0.6. I think it's the best fw so far. With 2.0.7 up to 2.0.9 you will also have bugs with .srt subs line skipping and SD videos. I don't know why people instantly think that "the newer is always better", no, at least definitely not in the case of HiMedia.

I would like to reiterate that version 2.0.4 is the one that allows the vision without bugs of the aspect ratio pal 720x576.
From the 2.0.5 version the bug is present

But as also discussed there, you can completely correct the issue by manually switching aspect ratio to "Full Screen" for 16:9 and "Keep Original" for 4:3 SD videos. Can't we?

I know it's a bit inconvenient, but it's still just a few presses on the remote, and IMO is's still better than stuck with that old player of 2.0.4.  I can report some more preferable overall PQ improvement in 2.0.6 compared to 2.0.4.

(The best resolution would be of course if HiMedia would take that effort and be success in ironing all these bugs out.)

I have the Chinese version of the Q10 HG4 which is like the Q10 Pro and just received an update to 2.1.0 09202018 release date. It really improved the player video quality on this box and it now plays better than my Q10 Pro or Q5 Pro. I was wondering when Himedia will release this 2.1.0 version for the Q10 Pro and Q5 Pro. Please advise. Thanks

Cool. Blu-ray 3D without stutter? DTS-HD HR bitstream output? Blu-ray menus working?

I installed new firmware v 2.1.0. Xvid movies definitely work. I have not checked more for lack of time. I am already bored with problems with the q10 pro player. I do not even want to check the new fw. I will write only, it is a bit better than in version 2.09.

It would be interesting to know if they have solved the bug of the aspect ratio PAL, which is present since version 2.0.5.  ::)

The 10bit colourspace options can be restored in 2.1.0 by pressing 0 3 5 1 in sequence on the Himedia remote.

I don't know why this setting was hidden and I can't provide more detailed instructions, but the above has been tested and works.

You mean that the options will come back in the settings menu? And will they stay after reboot ass well?

(Guess you got the info from HiMedia, so they lack of communication and attitude is now close to outrageous, if they don't even give a damn to explain this mayor fault.)

Yes.

I am awaiting an answer as to why HiMedia made this change. It does seem strange to hide the setting behind a keypress, like a cheatcode in an old game.
