Hello!

I'm using OFW 2.0.6. I have set KODI to "Default Start" in App Manager to start right after booting. Nov I have changed the launcher to Nova Launcher and tho' I still have KODI set to "Default Start" in HiMedia App Manager, but it won't start after boot. How can I set KODI to auto start after each boot-up in the settings or in the launcher?

Thank you!

I think since HiMedia Launcher is not launched automatically (pardon my launcher launching), then the apps set to autostart would not launch anymore. You may have to look for a way to autostart apps in Nova Launcher, since Nova Launcher will not obey what the other launcher does.

Ok, thanks, but that's what I'm asking. How to find another way to start an app, even from the system app settings or from Nova launcher? Searched in both, but couldn't find any way to do this. Or do I necessary need another app juts to do this? I simply want to auto-start an app after boot-up, I guess -even on Android- that couldn't be that much a problem... ?

Hello All,

I currently have a Q5 Pro running on Android 5. The firmware is Q5 PRO FIRMWARE. 1.1.0-FUTEKO-EN. HMD-1.1.0 2017-03-16.202738 which only supports Kodi version 16.1

Is there an official firmware available for the Q5 Pro which supports the latest Kodi version 17.6? Would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you!
Jojo Jose

Yes, any 2.x.x firmware comes with Kodi 17.x. These firmwares are based on Nougat and some behaviors are changed. Read well before upgrading to Nougat.

thanks for the feedback. am quite new to tweaking firmwares and as a follow up is there any risk or difficulty if i upgrade to nougat? pardon the lack of knowledge...

Feast your eyes on this http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1517.0. Nobody can tell you if you should update. Compare 2.0.7 http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=2738.0 with 1.1.0 http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1792.0.

So -since lack of feedback-, I have goggled it a lot, and find something, that "normally" there should be an option for this in the Android settings menu. It should be find under "Security" settings, where an "Autostart application" menu should be. But it isn't. Have used the search function in the Android settings as well, but none like this can be found.

So any more suggestions?

Thanks!

@Mount81
"Default Start" from App Manager is required HiMedia Launcher to be started first then HiMedia Launcher manage to start "Default Start" app.
Is normal not get working when  Nova Launcher is use as launcher, try use alternative app from Google play to get start Kodi on boot.

Has anybody tested it with bluray iso with menus?
I have many titles and my question is with they all play fine or only a percentage of them.
for example titles from 20th centuryfox  are a bit difficult and i cannot  play all of them in other similar android devices...
Thank you

For me titles from 20th Century Fox need to press TOPMenu to get to menu on Egreat Poster 2.0  and is OK on HiMedia/Zidoo.
General problems are German release for UHD disc where menu doesn't look to work on HiMedia/Egreat/Zidoo device.
Anyway if BD Menu are a must for you a best compatibility will get on dedicate blu-ray player.

These are more problems with these apps than the firmware.

I have the Q10 Pro running Android 7 with 2.07.  I had a issue with the Netflix app so I uninstalled it.  When I went back to the Google Play store to install again, it's no longer listed as a option.  Not even search finds it.

How do I get the Netflix app back?

Another issue is I set the Display resolution to 2160p 60hz and all is good.  When I restart the Q10, the resolution SOMETIMES goes back to 1080p and sometimes it stays at 2160p.  I want it to stay at 2160p.  Is this a bug?

I have the same issue with my resolution on my Q5 Pro on FW 2.0.6.
Also wondering of there's a solution...

How do I get the Netflix app back?

Netflix removed their app from Play Store on most Android devices. It can be downloaded from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/ The latest version works fine.

Cool - thank you!

Now if we can get support on the resolution changing back to 1080p  ;D

After some effort, I have completed the 2.0.7 firmware upgrade.  It was a royal pain to have to reconfigure and reinstall my apps.  I hope I don't have to do that again, ever!

When will we be able to just update OTA and retain our config and apps?  Or at least have a simple way to backup everything and restore apps, network config, mount points.    I know there is a way root and backup some stuff, but that is all manual and a pain too.   We need simple buttons in Settings please.

On the Himedia website the software is the same as on futeko website?  On the himedia website there is no software for example to Q10 and futeko is why?  Thank you futeko for all-round help, that s    why  I    bought himedia because of the support of a big plus.
