I have just caught on the picture that the italic lines in .srt are displayed without italic. At least they're not showing up with  <i></i> characters, but it's strange how they always keep on mess this up in the firmware updates and that what would cause this, if it was already working fine in previous firmwares... This would be an  ESS-EN-TI-AL function in the case of a dedicated Media Player...

carl:

Use some apps like Subtitle Edit for "Point Syncign" the subtitles for the videos.

From the beginning I bought this box more than 1 year ago there is no SRT subtitle or ASS subtitle could appear, all subtitle appear with characters style from Himedia player/wrapper...  no subtitle can display italic format except SUP subtitle...  I have been reporting this issue on this forum since firmware 2.0.4 has been released but no fixes until this moment.

I agree with you.. This is  ESS-EN-TI-AL function in the case of a dedicated Media Player...

Hi Mount81, i know i can do that, i also sync them with the kodi player. But the point i think is not to use another app to do something that it's something basic for current players, and i think a trivial fix.

Thanks!

I actually think this is normal behavior but I never noticed it until 2.0.5 and now 2.0.6.  Once in a while a line of symbols shows up on the bottom of my screen.  They are for volume down, back (triangle), a circle, a square (which appears to open up a list of open apps), and volume up.  I'm not sure what I do to turn it on but, more importantly, how do I toggle it off?  It stays on when a video is playing and the only solution I have right now is to restart the box.  Can someone tell me what keyboard or other selection is turning this on and how do I turn it off.  Thanks.

That's the bottom navigation bar, if you have a mouse you can click above it and drag down to hide it. If you install CFW it's disabled by default and you have this patch from FAQ:
"Remove bottom navigation bar in firmware 2.0.4? - Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?1gf285u9nkybaey. - Rename disable_android_navigation_bar_(CFW)_HMD-2.0.4.zip to update.zip and copy to USB pen flash. - Back your sensitive data / kodi /etc... - Apply update.zip from Setting/Upgrade/Local Upgrade"

Futeko: I have now the CFW 2.0.6 installed, but having some strange troubles with playback. Can I flash the Official 2.0.6 over CFW 2.0.6 with the paperclip method, without any issues?

I don't close opened Apps. Android as a pretty good memory management, if it needs to close an App to open another one it will.

Mamachan, I don't understand what you mean. What do you want to do? Show it, hide it?

I'd like to show and hide myself.
instead, the bar appears and disappears randomly and I do not know why.

You can use the mousse to click and drag up from the bottom to unhide it to click and drag down to hide.

Of course. I thought you'd know that already. :)
