FIrst of all, the licensing fees can be quite large for small manufacturers. And Dolby may also behave just as Netflix does whit licensing its app to hardware manufacturers like Himedia. Netflix simply does not want to license all the small manufacturers, even if they want to.

Looks like they don't like free OP systems somehow... Like Netflix or Amazon, they give it for you for Windows (you can use it on whatever configuration you may have), but Linux or Android goes in the soup...

Dolby V, whatever... First HiMedia needs to get fix the subtitles, Imprex, DVD playback and the permanent resolution anyway...

NOTHING will get fixed 100%, nothing. To save the Q10 pro just add the Dv support and I will buy it. If not no chance whatsoever.
And there is no HDR10+ yet, so Dv is the BEST atm. I want it I need it I will get it somehow via Q10 or not. If need be via PC and MPC or PowerDVD.

Nonsense DV is absolutely not important and is almost unused! There are many other important things to fix!

We need Dolby Vision so ALL 4k movies can be enjoyed to their full extent no matter if DV is only a bit better than HDR10 and some dont even notice it during a SHIT movie. It has to be supprted and not in 2019. And I am sure you notice the Dolby Vision sign popping up instead of HDR if you really notice anything.

Any signs of the new fw approximated date, or at least some info, that HiMedia has it under development yet?

And please try to emphasize to them, to have a fix -at least- on the embedded subtitle issue. As it's a really mayor bug IMPOV, and that's why i still have to stuck with fw ver 1.0.9 (how comic), tho' 2.0.5 seams to be a forstep by other means...

(I have almost left the hope for correct DVD and interlaced HD video playback, have requested here (among others) like 20 times or more, but that's another story...)

Back in April the FAQ stated full 5.1/7.1 audio support for Kodi 17 without the use of Wrapper would be coming in a future firmware release. Does anyone have any idea when this may become a reality?
