In Himediaplayer, yes.

In standard Kodi 17+, you get 2 channel PCM from Kodi internal player. SPMC or Kodi 'shitty' builds will give up to 5.1 passthrough. Kodi+wrapper gives full HD-Audio for local media.

excuse my ignorance but i take it standard kodi isn't supported so HD audio pass through isn't possible on android 7 and FW 2.04 and kodi 17.3? Any idea of when this might be rectified?

i'm running a shitty kodi now. I understand kodi can update itself unless you turn updates off - can you tell me where to find this auto update setting so i can make sure it doesn't update itself please

If I have an Dolby Atmos and DTS-X compatible AVR connected through HDMI ARC. Whats the setting on Q10 Pro will send the correct audio to the AVR through HDMI (not SPDIF)? Is HDMI set to RAW and HBR set to RAW 7.1 or both set to AUTO?

HDMI: RAW, HBR RAW 7.1.

The HDMI setting will also work on auto but since raw is what you want you may as well set it as that.

I come from the firmware Q5Pro 2.01 and updated to Q5Pro 2.04.

Here the current bugs sorted by importance, which I had not in 2.01:

- The imprex engine is unfortunately no longer usable, as it comes to frequent flickering. This bright flicker also occurs when the dynamic contrast is disabled. This is really a pity, as with the activated imprex engine the contrast is significantly improved in bright areas.

- In the YouTube app, the first video is played in very low quality. No matter how good the internet bandwidth is.

- There is now unfortunately a downsampling of my HD FLAC music files in the internal Hi Media Music Player, 96kHz to 48 kHz.
HD Video Music like in DTS-HD works fine.

Please send these bugs to the software developers of HiMedia.

Cheers

The problem with the Youtube app is not a real problem. Set it up to the maximum resolution once and Youtune should remember it. I do not have this issue. I cannot comment for the rest of them. I would use a different player for music, one that is specialized for music.

There's an issue with YouTube, same thing happens to me and it never happened before. Did tried to select 1080p and automatic and makes no difference, video always starts at lowest resolution 144p in both TV and mobile versions of YouTube. How do you connect to the internet, cable or wifi?

I am using the TV app YouTube for Android TV (Android TV) 1.3.11, not the latest mobile Youtube app and it works pretty well. I like it because I can use the remote to navigate. Any newer app would not install and I do not have issues.

"Flickering" as a "feature"?!  :o LOL, by the terms of who?! By your cynical demagogy ?!  Sorry, I'm not to offend, but this statement is just simply hilarious and arrogant against all the costumers.

+1
The other additional thing this feature doesn't come with dynamic contrast in ipmrex if the dynamic contrast is switched off the "feature" is still present. This unnecessary "feature" is missing in the 2.0.1 firmware. I would like to ask futeko to please remove this "feature" from the further firmware's.

I also noticed this issue (i come to 2.0.4 from 2.0.3 and never seen this).
Also now i have (sometimes) movie stops after 50-60 mins, without reasons. (it happened twice in 3 days). Never before with same files.

Well, i think these upgrades introduce only estetical improvements, but not big base improvements as we need. (i own Q5 Pro since 1 year, starting with fw 1.0.5).

Imprex Engine does not not keep the settings, it is a fake .
If you call directly from custom key , you see it is reset.
A high level SOC  with a stupid FW from lazy company who sell just some hardware, nothing else.
