This is unbelievable, really.

I mean, I can somehow understand why the core Q10 took months.
But now, they only have to remove to HDD interface from the Q10, how can that takes days to do?

On another Forum some reported drastic reduction of the SAMBA speed with the 2.0.4 fw: 11MB/s max.

Can any others confirm or disproof this?!

I think you are correct and Q5 Pro release should have been simultaneous with Q10 Pro.

However, there are more differences between Q10 Pro and Q5 Pro than just the HDD.

As i told my problems before , now i must say, very happy with  firm 2.04. Very stable and fast, i think there is also a better PQ. Very good.
Runs good also with Kodi 17.3. I came from 1.09, since i change the first time to 2.0.0 and went back to android5.

Now happy with this release, waiting for BR Full menu reading, in the future.  THX Futeko

Brand new WD 1TB(WDBYNN0010BBK-WESN) USB 3.0 connected FW v2.0.4

So not drastic down via Ethernet cable, but less that what I have on FW 2.0.0/2.0.1 with qqq1971 Samba server optimization.

@mihailuican 45MB/s probably wired, wireless very small chance to go over 25-30MB/s with AP6335 modules.

wired

edit:
I've switched off some memory and CPU loading apps on my NAS and transfer is higher now.

Another question for 2.0.4 users: Does the random self 4K->1080p/i reset still occurring?!

(Looks quite good fw so far, maybe the first one to worth to upgrade from 1.0.9?!)

Oh: is the SAMBA patch compatible with the 2.0.4, and worth to apply to maybe get a little extra speed?!

They probably have their priorities set on developing their new products for the market.

Well, I've just downloaded 2.0.4 for Q5 Pro, but after upgrade Q5 still shows as it would be 2.0.3? Version info not properly updated or old image in ZIP?

The download is definitely correct.

I think the box hasn't recognised the update file. If this happens you'll get what looks like an update but is in fact a factory reset of existing firmware.

I recommend trying to update again. USB stick should be FAT32. update.zip should be extracted from the archive, no renaming.
