There will be no further Android 5 updates ?

There will be more Android 5.1 updates.

But Android 7 will take precedence.

The next update will be an Android 7 update.

Thanks - the only reason I am sticking with Android 5 for now, is the seamless BD-ROM operation, which is not very easy with Android 7.

People in the kodi.tv Q10/Q5 Pro topic are asking for a list of possible fixes. @Futeko, if you can find that out, please share it with us. I personally prefer to see the list when the firmware will be ready so that there will not be any discussions later.

The next Android 7 firmware will be mid march and will be based on a new SDK.

New SDK?! So any change that they will get the 3D iso fps corrected this time?

And a new "bug" fix request: the loading time of a 3D BD iso is just seams to take too long, sometimes even 20 seconds (from network share), I guess that needs to be boosted up to a normal level...

Many new 3D BD have over 300 playlist, so 20 seconds to combine and get main movie not bad, use tsMuxeR, make remux and will loading in few seconds.

Himedia already have update 1.10 in their website when can we get ?

There is no 1.1.0 FW on their site right now. The latest FW based on Lollipop on their site is still 1.0.9.

Chinese firmware already out

Well, we already know that a new Nougat based firmware will be out. And we are talking here about the Pro devices, for the international market :)

Are not any reason to claim why HiMedia not release 1.1.0 f/w for international version.
Only new is Wallposter apps, witch are offline reading of poster, funart, nfo from movie folder.
If any want to see/test it just install WallPoster.apk (request Android 5.1.1 firmware).

Keep on mind apps is in beta stage and is for Chinese users. Updated to new version.

Hi guys.
Great news that there is going to be a new update coming soon for the q10 pro. Sorry for such a noob question but what is an sdk? And what benefits do you think that would bring?

SDK is a software development Kit, a set of software that allows developers to create apps and customise the firmware.  For most people the advantages are better interface with android and potentially more applications being available.

Hope that helps.

Few questions about the next firmware if they are yet known;

Is digital audio passthrough in kodi 17  without the wrapper expected?

Will android 7 firmware now allow other default launchers?

Will tasker settings still not show without work around (which didn't work well for me). I don't expect this will be changed as I'm told it's tasker problem, just all my other devices on android nougat don't have this problem.

Will apps like "e-control" be shown on google play store as compatible rather than having to install from an apk (all ok in 5.1.1

The latter three  things is why I moved from android 7 back to 5.1.1
