There are loads of apps in Play Store to view photos.

I like QuickPic: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder&hl=en_GB

The update is only for the Q5 4K3D, first sold in November 2014.

See firmware thread changelogs for differences between firmwares. 3.0.2 is later and incorporates all of 1.0.9.1, it is the firmware you should install if you have a Q5 4K3D.

Hello,

I just bought the Q10 4K3D player recently from Hong Kong. I think it's the Chinese version. Just want to ask is it possible to update/flash my firmware to HMD 1.09 which is provided from here? If so, will it brick my player due to different player version (region)? Or just happen something like the subtitle can not be shown in the Traditional Chinese.....

If you're lucky then the update won't install at all.

If you're not (or if you change the filename to try and trick the box into accepting the update) then it will permanently brick your box.

The Chinese and European hardware aren't firmware compatible.

I`m from indonesia. Bought my q10 4k3d from local store. How do I check my hardware version cause the store where I buy didn't know what version they sold. Thanks

Hi,

I got some issue with Q10 II.

When I tried to put the apps into the home screen as a shortcut, the device seems doesn't save the setting.

Every time I shutdown and power on back, it restore to the original.

Anyone can help?

I'm not sure you have a Q10 4K3D..

Where did you get the device from? Can you post a link?

If you have any Chinese streaming apps installed then it's the Chinese version.

The link for the playercorefactory.xml is wrong. It links to the Q5Quad Firmware. Could you post the correct link?.

Hmm, is that the correct playercorefactory.xml? Looks like it is about facebook/mediafire integration, but there are no rules defined to tell the system which player to use with mp4.

What is it you want playercorefactory to do?

That playercorefactory should cause all video except defined streams to be played using Himedia player.

So does the external player Himedia Player produce better picture quality compared to the internal Kodi player?
