Hi:

First I am located in the US (hope it is OK I am doing posts here)

I just purchased a Q5 from these people: http://www.iCHINAHARDWARE-CAN INSTALL CHINAFIRMWARE ONLYandroidtvbox.com/himedia-q5-quad-core-android-tv-box-2gb-4k-video-8gb-emmc-android-4-4.html

The Firmware on my box is HMD-1.0.8 2014-03-25.20

The firmware at HiMedia (http://www.himediatech.com/support.htm) is HMD-3.0.2 2015-11-05.105633

I was wondering can I install this Firmware on my Box?

My box Boots up and says "Q5 <some Chinese symbols> 2000
The whole carousel of images (games / movies) are Chinese - Surely would like to get rid of these.

ANY Help appreciated

BobVal

You have the Q5 version intended for sale/use in China only.

You can only install the China firmware.
