Where can i find this 'alpha firmware'? 
Only i can see dune_firmware_tv175u_210625_1453_r17.dff on ther site...

In contrary to with Zidoo installing Alpha versions is pretty safe and easy with Dune. If you don't like them then just reinstall any previous version! They are typically also very stable with hardly any faults for things that worked correctly before. You might want to consider this as the frequency of even Beta releases is low compared with e.g. Zidoo.

This is the one with the new GUI partially implemented. To answer the question: yes I installed it myself.

It offers what is claimed by Dune as far I saw thus far.
But this one is a real Alpha FW. Install it if you are curious and above all if you are willing to report to Dune. Music Player plays but just shows a black screen. Personally I went back!

Warning: fixes included with:
dune_firmware_tv175u_210704_0331_r17
Are NOT included. That is also an Alpha but very stable and again used by me now.

@Nice Monkey: You say the bugfixes in the "GUI" alpha doesn't contain fixes from the latest "regular" alpha. What is missing, and also is the "GUI" alpha at least the same as the latest "stable" FW?

It's the latest regular Alpha + the new GUI, so yes.

Indexing is not working on the last version…

I have the same problem. Indexing doesn't work. Dune reverted back to firmware dune_firmware_tv175v_210415_1106_r17 and now it works again.

Installed the new gui with the version r18, now when I boot, starting my Pro Vision Solo results in a black picture and nothing else. Projector (JVC DLA-N7, connected directly to Dune) tells that it is showing 3840x2160, but for some reason there is no picture. Attempting to put r17 back in again.

Everything worked very smoothly on the 18 firmware....indexing didn't work.
Didn't care at all for the "Netflix" style home page showing me 30,000 movies that aren't on my drives.
(although I heard you can change that)
A step in the right direction once its perfected.

With r18 Firm indexing works on my Dune Pro Vision Solo but i have also the problem that the Dune boots into a black screen!

Hi, newbie with Dune Real Vision 4K here.

I use the "New gui" alpha firmware now.

Very impressed with speed, PQ, possibility to play DV mkv/full bd and I love using the Tivimate iptv player with it etc..

I have one, for me, important question;
Is it possible to set up an automatic indexing of the folders?
When you add/remove a file, the player automatically updates the metadata?
Find it a little "cumbersome" to press the index button manually and then check the "edit matches..." option.

And what is best; Let LG OLED CX or Dune player upscale files with lower resolutions?

"My Collection does not watch for changes in the indexed folders and does not update the index automatically. In case of changes in your collection, you need to manually request My Collection to update the index."

So I guessed that answered my question
