3TB HDD SEAGATE 7200 RPM not recognized by the Q10 pro

Hello Guys... I just bought an brand new 3 TB seagate HDD  for my Q10 pro , I installed it according to this: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=265888&page=44 .but failed to get the new drive noticed even in my PC as an external drive..
I went to desk management and checked it and it was unseen also... Could somebody point out what I am missing...?I checked the connections, everything is in order,  )?
I have a USBA to USB A cord to connect the USB slot of my PC to the Q10 pro  on the Middle USB slot which I hear an on and off sound  of erratic connection but I did not see any new drive in my PC.( laptop) .. BTW my laptop USB is USB 3.0 but I am using a USB2.0 connection cord to the Q10 pro,..

Is there an alternative way to get this done ?  I am at a loss as I don't have a desktop PC to check the HDD but only a laptop...No matter what I do I cant find the new drive among the displayed drive in my PC using the Q10 pro box...

You have to use a printer/scanner cable and connect it in the back of the Q10Pro

Are you serious...? In what slot will you attach the other end..? If there is no printer attachment in the q10 pro..? There are lots of video about q10 pro in YouTube and there was never any mention of printer cables for such Media player

Plug the type B USB plug in the back of the Q10 and the type A to the computer.

You need a "USB 3.0 A to B Cable" to connect the Q10 to a desktop computer or laptop ('A' end to computer, 'B' end to Q10):

The disk should be formatted using the NTFS file system and with a GPT partition table (not MBR!)

You don't need a USB 3.0 cable, a USB 2.0 that most people have works fine

Greetings guys.. Recently I did it using both USB 2.0 and USB3. 0  A and B as you SUGGESTED but the results are the same. I found a removable disc which was labeled D but it did not show the capacity. I checked disc management, yes there was a removable disc below the laptop C drive. When I right clicked it it only shows to change the drive name, properties and help but  no initialize disc. Does this means the HDD was not seen but only the connection to Q10 which was seen as D removable disc. Whenever I opened the q10 box, checked the SAta connection was slid a snug fit to the new HDD, closed the box again, press the red start button in the q10 to indicate it was switched on an it briefly displayed all the white lights and heat the laptop short beep indicating a connection, but did not change the status in the disc management. It still shows the same. What could be the reason., is the HDD defective I r there is a loose connection between the HDD and the SATA of the Q10. Is there an alternative way to check the fault.? I don't have a desktop PC  to check the HDD Integrity. Would a USB to an ESata would do the job.?

Upload a screen capture. You have to right click on the drive icon in the bottom left to initialize and after that in the right side to create e new volume

I have attached a picture of the disk management problem with the HDD in the Himedia q10 pro,,,may I know what could be the problem?

BTW I am using a scanner cable for it as the USB 3.0 male to male wont work  on any of the USB slots ( except the one at the back ) for this purpose ..
