There was never support for full DVD menus on these HiMedia boxes by the factory player. Yes, it's a big deficiency, but never was advertised like that.
With KODI -I guess- you can play the full DVD menus, but if these are like concert DVD's with video, than you will need the KODI auto frequency switcher patch for proper video playback. Also if it's a DD or DTS audio track, you will need to use the so called "shitty" KODI build or downgrade to KODI 16.1, as KODI 17.x has lost the support for it on HiMedai Boxes.

For BD menu support you can use the BD menu patch, can be found in the FAQ. But you won't have proper frequency switching while playing the BD video from the full menu. So you need another patch for HiMedia Player, can be found in the sticky thread.

For me, all of the two freq patches seems to be working a bit "strange", so I wouldn't recommend it normally, juts if you stick to these pretensions by all means.

Why do you have to have those menus? Why can't you just 'Rip' the individual files as separate entries and play them by themselves?
AFAIC, those DVD and especially those BD menus are annoying, they just add more distractions & crap to the mix. There are 3rd party programs that will create a 'menu' if you really need to have one.  ;)

Hi,  as I said in my original post 80% of my files are music dvd or blue ray iso. Having the original menu means you can find the track or track's  you want to play easily . Trying to find without the menus is hopeless . I've just bought a second hand xtreamer express from ebay which now plays all of my files so the q10 will be going on ebay .
