I'm very curious what people are using on their Q5/Q10 Pro. Here is my list (still W.I.P.). Clik on the red name for the external link/Playstore link.
Please add your apps/games in this thread - hopefully there are some hidden treasures out there.
APPSArchos Video Player (Free/Paid)After reading
this forum post about Archos I tried it and was immediately hooked. It's a very nice replacement for Kodi or Moviebar. The 'leanback' user interface is intuitive.
Smart YouTube TV (Free)Sure the default YouTube app works fine - but Smart YouTube TV gives add free viewing and I really don't see any difference in quality.
Some people experienced some problems with this app.
Perfect Player IPTV (Free/Paid)If you use IPTV then this is one of the best ways to watch television. You can also use your favorite EPG.
IPTV is also very good, but you must use an external player like MX Player for viewing. Also works with EPG.
Solid Explorer File Manager (Free/Paid)Simply the best file manager out there.
ES File Explorer was my favorite file manager, but with it's intrusive advertising mechanism (in the free version), I don't recommended the free version.
SPMC - Semper Media Center (or Kodi) (Free)Kodi alternative and considered a lot better then Kodi... but I must say that Kodi 17.6 is matured a lot - so we can finally leave Jarvis behind us
Using
this patch is essential if you use SPMC or Kodi. And also try these
essential Wrapper settings.
Power Menu (Free)Just a simple power off and restart app. I use
the APK and add the icon to the home screen. You don't have to have root for this version.
TuneIn Stream (Free/Paid)Listen to your favorite radio stations with TuneIn Radio.
TVLauncher (Free/Paid)Alternative launcher. Demo video:

More information about MX Player in this topic.Blokada (Free)Free ad blocker without root! Will remove adds from your apps. And yes, this will also remove the adds from that popular streaming app (T*rr**ium TV)
Gboard - the Google Keyboard (Free)I like this keyboard more then the default one.
Phonograph Music Player (Free/Paid)Very nice looking music player. Unfortunately no NFS support.
Titanium Backup (paid) Thanks (
maelor)
not just to backup but also to "freeze" out unwanted bloatware like Facebook, Moviebar, Skype, ...
You will need ROOT for Titanium Backup, but that's very easy. Check
this link. Unpack it, run the /bat file and follow the on-screen instructions (you have to provide the LAN IP).
I then uninstall Netflix, Facebook and Skype and remove the installation files with Solid Explorer from the /system/etc/ directory.
