I din't realized till now, that an audio codec and such technical standard sometimes changes in code, so it may require software support update to even get it working at all. So basically, there are several DTS version already, that are not even backward compatible with previous version? Strange. I thought when the standard and the codec was developed, tested and proved, then it was just finalized for good and all devices that licenced and decently implemented this release, will be able for 100% compatibility. Like, when I think of "DTS HDMA", I think of it like a "finished standard", and  i don't think also in frequently changing version numbers, or at something that I should get worry about if I lost it on my devices a couple of years after...

Exactly, licenced devices still work. And then there are these devices from China we are talking about here.

A very similar recent problem with Egreat products turned out to be caused by the AVR. For those experiencing this problem, do you have Onkyo AVRs?

The Egreat problem may have been caused by the most recent Onkyo firmware update.

Try a hard reset of the AVR.

This will not work because Himedia will not acquire a new license. It is definitely a license issue from Himedia.

I can't understand why Futeko won't even contact Himedia. >:( He must have more contacts than we do. It looks like it doesn't matter to futeko since he already sold the equipment. >:( >:(

Since most other owners (including myself) have had no problems with playing DTS-HD High Resolution videos, it is most likely an issue with your Denon AVR that needs fixing/updating rather than simply blaming HiMedia and Futeko.
As previously  advised, the sample provided above in this thread plays perfectly well on my Q10Pro with current firmware 2.0.8 through a Yamaha 7.1 AVR via HDMI.

It's Himedia PowerDVD 18 LG UP970 and Panasonic DMP-UB704EGK have no problems. I sent the q10pro to a friend who also has the same AVR and he has the same problems. Denon and Onkyo will have built a new license into the firmware of several models, so they will probably have to install it in the q10pro as well. I don't think everyone who has the problem should have the same defect. Denon told me that the DTS Core has a new license via email. I will go the days times into the cellar and my old IconBIT XDS1003D and my onkyo tx-NR636 out rummage and times test. the old Onkyo has already I do not know how long no firmware update should receive one there I will be after the test is then also no sound it is because of Himedia.

*EDIT*
If it turns out in the end, of course, that it wasn't himedia I will apologize formally. Anyone who can complain must be able to do something like this.

PS.. I HATE GOING TO THE BASEMENT. :(

I highly doubt that the issue has something to with Himedia might not having license for DTS. Considering all the facts written in this thread, it's a problem of compatibility between Himedia and latest DTS codec. DTS version 3.90.35.00 still works, 3.90.50.00 doesn't. Should Himedia have theirs player certified (not exactly same as licensed), there should most likely be no problem. By being certified it means it goes through a rigorous testing procedures defined by DTS, which guaranties 100% compatibility.

In this situation Denon is probably not to blame, as they probably simply use the code supplied by DTS.

It would be very welcome if more users post their findings with different AVR's and DTS version. In this way we could prove the theory correct. Anyway, this is the easy part, the hard one is to make Himedia do the homework and fix the player, like some others did (see LAV's player story in previous posts).

I don't know much concretely about licencing and -as you suggested- in this case, certification procedures in practice, but if they made it through before with the previous DTS version (as I just presume), than there should not be an obstacle to just run over it again. Of course just after they have properly implemented it in a new firmware.  That's said with the -unsure- presumption that it really doesn't need any further licencing from DTS inc.

With v18 Leia - Beta 3 (Oct 3, 2018), the developers from Kodi VideoPlayer have also fixed the DTS-HD HR incompatibility with new DTS version:
