II. Recovery the firmware instructions
1.If your current firmware is v1.0.1.3, please force to recovery V1.1.0.7 firmware by USB and then update to V1.1.0.9 beta firmware.
2.If your current firmware is v1.0.1.5, please force to recovery V1.1.0.7 firmware by OTA and then update to V1.1.0.9 beta firmware.
3. You also can force to recovery the new V1.1.0.9 beta firmware directly, the force to recovery new version firmware instruction, please click here.

Hello All,

the dolby atmos works properly with the Egreat A5 and A10.

in fact, it was the Demo Disc atmos 2016 ISO who had a problem.

i used Demo disc Atmos 2015 ISO and everythings works

i downloaded the Test Tone Atmos 5.1.2 on the site Dolby and it is works properly.

My Egreat A10 is in place in the cabinet, this is my main video player





I did some tests with Demo UHD and UHD HDR, i set the parameters manually.

With demo videos in 23.976, 24P and 29.970, the Egreat switch to RGB 4.4.4 10Bit instead of ycbcr 4.2.0 10Bit, it is perfect.

the Egreat A10 looks great but with old technology and NOT Enough Memory
I will jump in on 1 if and when Egreat comes out with second generation  and new Tech. and more RAM this box needs at least 4 mg ram (ddr4 ram)
their are cheap boxes available with new tech. and a lot more Ram inside of them.
WHY such a great box like this Egreat A10 made with old Tech. ??
Please Egreat  better Tech. and more Ram or give costumers the option with at least more Ram (wake up) OR Zappitti here I come.

A some request you post in egreatworld comunity. Why to put 4GB RAM on 32Bit Android OS?
Are non sense for me at least until HiSilicon provide SDK with support 64bit  Android OS for this SoC.

install a Sata Drive and load up the box with a bunch of add-ons and builds and look @ the available ram and try to play a hd game
then you see what I m talking about,
Nvidea Shield comes standard with 3 mg Ram and it s not enough I find it slow and also my other boxes in the house specialy my Enybox X2  with 2mg Ram DDR4 with a lot of stuff in it its a lot faster (DDR 4) than the Nvidea and also my Zidoo X9S
to a point I agree with you -- but more RAM is better all I ask is for the option to purchase the A10 with more Ram but will see what happens when version 2 is available

I understand a point, but Egreat A10/A5 are media player and not a mini-PC/Games console, this why Nvidia Shield take part of market.
My Zidoo X9S have only 2GB RAM DDR3 and upcomming Zidoo X10 will still have 2GB DDR3.

Egreat A10/A5 are in a line with newest Android box TV on market.

BTW Let's wait new Egreat A10 revision to see what they change, until know are know WiFi antenna, IR remote with play/pause and stop buttons.
R&D Team researching for solution to add more RAM to fit your request, but they need 64bit Android SDK like Nvidia Shield have it to get benefit of more RAM.

I have Just brought the A5 and have been informed to watch 3D on this media player  it has to be ISO I use MAKE MKV and I see on your list it will play 3D in MKV I am now confused does it show 3D in MKV or ISO?

Start with Egreat 1.5.9 or  f/w v1.1.0.9 is support 3D MVC on MKV make with MakeMKV  witch is mark correct as 3D on poster.

I have not done an in depth comparision between both.

With my tv 65'' i would say there is  no visible  difference with movies in ultra HD mkv that you can find on the internet expect for the Samsung, Sony, LG Demos.  With these, you see an immediate difference in quality.
