Recently upgraded to the new firmware only to find that the HIMEDIA PLAYER resolution now defaults to 720p when playing (frame packing) 3D Movies at 1080p source..

It can be corrected once playing by changing to 2D mode then changing back to 3D mode (it then picks up the correct Resolution at 1080P) just  a real pain to keep changing for every movie (3D) watched..

Note that all normal 2D movies either 1080 or 720p play at there correct source resolutions so it only seems to be the 3D movies !!

SteveD...

This is a known bug and Himedia are working on it. It will be fixed soon.

This worked okay with version 07..so is it possible to go back to this firmware.?  or is it possible to uninstall the Himediaplayer in the android system then re-install the Himediaplayer from version 07..??

You can reinstall 1.0.7 if you want. Any firmware can be installed over any other. 1.0.7 for the Q10 is here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=42.0

The 3D 720p/1080p bug will be fixed soon. HiMedia are very aware and are working on it.

Yes thanks that has done the trick...I can confirm my 3D movies now run at the correct resolution now....  I will wait until HIMEDIA fix this issue before updating again to 1.0.9..

Hello there thx you for answer but it is not wipes the system all my xmbc files still there and build nr. 1.0.8.2015.4.17.19.

i have try it many times

Build number for our 1.0.9 Q10 firmware should be HMD-1.0.9 2015-05-18.131523.

So you've not updated to 1.0.9..

Please have  another go. Follow the instructions in the first post of this thread carefully. The most important thing is that the update.zip file from inside the firmware download archive should be copied to the USB flash drive as is. So the USB flash drive should contain only one file, 'update.zip'.

thx you working :)  ;D when next update  coming and fix for the f10 pro mouse

My 1080p movies always starts playing in 720p (FramePacking) regardless whether it is a 2D or 3D file. So each time I have to adjust the resolution manually to 1080p ...

I've noticed this since (my very first) version 1.07. Is it a misconfiguration of my player or is it the same issue as described by steved? Display settings of the box are 1080p/50Hz and 16:9 (in sync with the TV).

Its a bug in the recent versions that Himedia are currently working on and will be fixed soon.....I didn't realise it is well known on the Q5 too.

However if you can either do like I did and go back to version 1.0.7 or if you press the menu button whilst watching a film and toggle the 3D option On and Off it does pickup the correct resolution for the file being viewed;

During my tests (Q10 with 1.09) it turns out that it's slighty different than I have expected:

Playback of 1080p movies correctly starts in 1080/24p mode (this is what my TV is detecting). But when I press '0' key on the remote the first time it displays 720p (FramePacking) as current resolution (which is wrong). When I then change the resolution to 1080p (50/60Hz) using '0' key repeatedly it looses 24p support. My TV then detects 1080p only and afterwards I have stutters in playback.

I can reproduce this every time. Hopefully this explanation helps to track and fix the bug ...

Hello there i had problem the new update not working will with mele f10 pro air mouse
the sound coming out from mouse and not tv

the other problem how i restore this box with new firmware 100% and not upgrade ?

I also have the F10 Pro and got it working using SoundAbout app

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix&hl=en

Install Soundabout app open it and go to dock/usb behavior untick all 4 options

Now go to Media audio and select Aux Digital (HDMI)

Now you have sound and can use the F10 Pro

i agree with Wurstepeter that changing from 720pframepacking on start up then causes audio dropout.
