The new gui sounds are incredibly annoying.
Why is there no option to turn them off??
Especially when using the YouTube app, the constant noises while navigating are unbearable.
Also - the play/pause button does not work anymore in apps like YouTube.

I have some questions regarding the Imprex in the new fw:

Is it solved to turn off COMPLETLY the Imprex engine?

And is is it possible to turn off the 2 Noise Reduction filters seperately? (They had still a very noticable "cosmetics" effect, even with the lowest (or OFF) settings on the PQ in the 1.0.7 fw, mutch more stronger than it was in the 1.0.5 fw.)

Thanks!

Hi. I've installed a new 8TB internal harddisk in my new Q10 Pro.
I connect via USB the Q10 and my pc, but my pc won't recognize the harddisk, so I can't format it.
Any idea's what to do?

Btw, I've used the usb3.0 (square one) on the back of the Q10 Pro, should I use the usb from the side?

Strange thing is, that in Device Manager it does show up. But from there I can't do anything......?

When I click on it and go to Tab Events I see this:
Device USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_ST8000VN&Prod_0002-1Z8112&Rev_TS09\0000000000000032&0 could not be migrated.

Last Device Instance Id: USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_&PROD_&REV_8.07\EA0E5899&0
Class Guid: {4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Location Path:
Migration Rank: 0xF000FC000000F120
Present: false
Status: 0xC0000719

I also have the ability to hit Eject USB to SATA

I think Himedia needs to have an option to turn off notification sound.

@Namoh: you should format it on a PC (probably NTFS, this is how I formatted my internal HDD) and then connect it via side USB port. The square one near the HDMI port is for USB OTG most likely.

@haovh_85: I think that sound can be turned off in settings. You should be able to select None as the sound. I am not so annoyed by it, since I want to know when the unit recognized my remote, because the remote seems a little laggy on the latest firmware.

Do I need to connect the internal harddisk itself in my pc?
I thought I could put it in my Q10 pro, connect the Q10 pro to my PC (via usb) and format it from there.
Am I wrong?

Well, I do not think that the PC will see the Q10 Pro as a storage device. Did you actually manage to have it visible on the PC this way? You only have to connect it to a PC once. Be careful to shutdown the PC after formatting it if you connect it with a SATA cable.

I will check again probably this weekend. Thanks.

I tried to play TimeScapes (2012) but I only get sound, no video.

Does anyone know if the Q10 Pro can handle the cineform codec?

And if it doesn't, if it will be supported via a firmware update?

Format the external HDD by using powered HDD Adapter

According my previous readings on this Forum it should be possible to format the HDD inside the Q10 Pro and connected to the PC with an USB OTG cable. Otherwise what else would explain that  it has an OTG port specially for connection with a PC?! Futeko should be more informative and reactive according the questions...

Edit: Here you go, off course it can be formatted: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=932.0

Have to say that that guide didn;t work for me! My computer never recognised the HDD inside the Q10 Pro until I formatted it via the computer

I had to buy a powered HDD adapter and then connect it to my laptop and then format it in the way described in the guide.

Once done, popped it back inside the Q10 and it was instantly recognized!

Don't know for sure if it could be the reason, but did you have the Q10 Pro plugged in it's AC adapter after placed the HDD and plugged with the OTG cable to the PC?!

Edit.: Ok, I higlighted the importent part of the post, for better catch.

I used the OTG cable connected to the Q10 and to the PC but nothing showed up. Not even as an external HDD. Bought a powered HDD adapter and got it formatted that way and then the Q10 recognised it straight away.
