I have no idea what is causing your number 1 problem. You tried a full re-install? That is the only thing next to checking that your DHCP is working on your router.

Try assigning an IP based on the physical address (MAC). I did not have any issues and I did a lot of tweaking. Or maybe this is the issue, maybe you need to check your DHCP on how it assigns IPs.

Hello everyone.
I did the updated from 5 to 7, and everything installed correctly, but I noticed that the recent apps functionality doesn't work. The button does nothing.

Have anyone else encountered the issue? Can it be fixed ?

@DSpawn: the recent apps not working is a known issue. HiMedia is aware of it, as far as I know.

Yes, they are. I expect it to be fixed in next firmware.

I upgraded the firmware and everything works well except for two "issues":

1. In Netflix, when I hit the back button in the middle of a show (to go back to previous menu), it crashes and pops up a notification if I want to open app again or send feedback to Netflix. It only crashes when I hit the back button during a show, otherwise there are no issues with running Netflix. It used to run fine without any crashes in the previous firmware.

2. The black menu bar at the bottom has a square button which used to bring up "open apps" in the previous firmware version. Now it doesn't do anything. I like the option of bringing up open apps and manually closing them one-by-one (unless there's another way to do it). It's an OCD thing. That's the only reason why I keep the black menu bar. (Does installing a 3rd party launcher like Nova give that option?)

Appreciate feedback on this.

I think Futeko needs to clarify this: because by my experience that icon is used to bring up the "Recently Opened" app list and NOT the the "Still Open" app list. So even if you see an app that is still running on the list, X-ing it out won't close it, just removes it from the "Recently" list... Am i right Futeko?!

how to close open applications?

On Android 7 you need root to kill applications via another application (like from 3rd party task manager).

So you need to use the intended way:

1. Go to android setting
2. Apps
3. Select app you want to kill
4. Force Stop

or

1. Go to android setting
2. Memory
3. Memory used by apps
4. Select app you want to kill
5. Click menu button
6. Force Stop

Annoying bug: since this firmware I need to press the OK button on the remote multiple times to get the OK action in several cases. Problem occurs mostly in the android setting menu.
