HELP PLEASE!!!   :o

I am trying to update to firmware 2.0 without success. Currently I have the custom firmware 1.08 made by Pcristi, and I have tried several tiemes with the first step, I can manage to go until it shows the android green logo but it only last about 5 seconds and there is no line progress, then it boots much slower than before taking about 2-3 minutes and I still have the custom firmware 1.08, only that now everything is really slow. No matter what I do. I have even done a factory reset and started over again.
Another issue is that I can only make the Q10 boot and go to the Android recovery logo if I pull out the charger cable and then stick in again with the reset buttom pressed otherwise it doesn't turn on!

edit: I also have tried with 2 different FAT32 formatted pen drives (up to now never had any problems updating the firmware for Q10, this would be my 4th upgrade)

I am also using PCristi's firmware 1.0.8. How are you trying to update to Nougat? Are you updating from within the OS or are you following the instructions (using the reset pin)?
Riddle me this, riddle me that

Just s I explained I am following the instructions step by step.
What I will try is to go back to official (not custom) firmware 1.08 and if I succeed , then I will upgrade from there.

Here are my 2 cents:

1. If you have CUSTOM firmware (1.08 or earlier) installed you should FIRST go backup to official Firmware of the same level before upgrading to android 7 Firmware 2.0, it is based on my own experience, I could not upgrade until I went back to the official one.

2. Clock does not show the correct hour even after correcting your time zone, you have to reboot to fix this.

3. Switching back to HDR AUTO from SDR results in blank screen, I had to reboot and apply the change again, (I had to to choose SDR to be able to switch off imprex engine and all it's settings and correct my contrast-brightness etc options.

4. Sound seems to be working well, I tried different files and 7.1 DOLBY ATMOS and DTS:X are working fine, in fact, I think it is richer somehow

5. Picture quality seems more or less the same, but more sensitive to brightness and contrast: Before upgrading I had 51 in brightness and 54 in contrast and they seem to bright now with a bit washed away background.

I still have to try KODI. I haven't had time yet but will post my experience later.

Could not access settings (button)  on some Apps.

Will revert to old firmware 1.07/1.08 (I need those).

Will the same procedure still valid once you installed v2. 00?  Waiting for Instructions.

Oh, HiMedia wrapper is not activated on Kodi. Need to set it manually.

My 2 cents - Part II. :

1. Kodi is working well and for the first time I can play movies within Kodi with 7.1 sound, including DOLBY ATMOS and DTS:X, I hope that when we finally upgrade to KODI 17.0 it will even be better

2. HDR is working OK , I tested it with different files and refresh rates.

3. Again image is too bright by default in general, I had to lower brightness to 49 and contrast up to 53 to find it suitable for my TV, but again this should vary depending on each one's setup.

4. After changing several settings and rebooting now it is OK to change HDR to SDR and back and there is no blank screen,

I still have to try and see if HDMI CEC issues are solved.

Can you clarify what you mean about the settings button?

Downgrade for Q10 Pro is the same as for 2.0.0 beta version. We will update the opening post of this thread with download and guide tomorrow morning. My advice if you want to downgrade is to wait until we publish the guide tomorrow.

There is no downgrade firmware for Q5 Pro yet, that will come tomorrow.

Please ask HiMedia to add an app or similar function to reboot the device instead of shut down and restart.

"Sky Go" App finally works!!!

Yep will wait (to revert to old firmware)...

This is what I mean...The three (3) button icon to access settings  on some programs...It isn't there.

It was corrected beginning 1.05?? Now it is not there again.
