AV Receiver HD-Audio Incompatibility List

Hi,

Just received my Q10 Pro and hooked up with yamaha ysp-5600.  Audio formats are playing fine even Dolby Atmos, but sometimes I have problems
adjusting volume on yamaha. It's stopping to respond and looks like "hanging up", and I need to pull out power cord.
It was never happened with PC connected to yamaha and doing audio passthrough!

Used HDMI cable which came with Q10. I will try to switch HDMI cables.

I'm wondering what is going on???

Disable all about HDMI-CEC first and see if it helps. It does not work correctly and may block other equipment.  Unfortunately no option on Q10 pro to disable it either. i hope it is fixed (at least that it can be disabled) with the first FW upgrade.

q10 pro no more blocks cec comunications. ALL IS PERFECT

ps. except mounting remote SMB share outside local network ;-)

anyway, VPN solves my issue

I'm looking to buy the Yamaha RX-A750 to go with my new Q10 Pro and 4k Vizio tv.

Anyone having any issues with the RX-A750?

Is there a list of all the unhappy receivers that don't work good with the Q10 Pro?

I have the Yamaha RX766 and it works fine, over HDMI.
Picture, HDR, DTS, DD, HD Audio
Until now no problems.

Thanks, good to know.  Although that is a completely different line.  The A750 is part of the AVENTAGE line.  I hope it also works well with the Q10 Pro.

Test Audio directly by Media Center with a USB Key and play with Himedia Wrapper 3.6
HDMI: Auto
SPDIF: Close
HBR Output: Auto

1. H.264 1080p/23.976 (in MKV) Picture, no sound
2. H.264 1080p/24.000 (in MKV) Picture no sound
10. VC-1 1080p/23.976 (in MKV w/TrueHD 5.1 audio)   Picture but no sound
11. VC-1 1080i/29.970 (in MKV w/DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio) Picture and sound but only in DTS Core and notice that work only when i switch off/on the receiver when the Q10 Pro is playing the file. At this time decoded the sound ?

If it is not a problem with 1.4 HDMI cable why with the old one Q10 4K we don't have the same problem
There is a real mistake about capability from receiver with the new Q10 Pro. Firmware update ??

I have exactly the same problem, just received it and it's now totally unusable I'm going to send it back because I can not listen a lot of my video. Very sad because it seems THE player...but it's not...

my setting Himedia q10 pro -> yamaha v567 (7.1 configuration) -> samusng c8000 46"

try everything you said and also change 4 hdmi cable and ports on the a/v receiver... no luck...

At this time with the Custom Firmware, better than the original One and Can read near all !!!! But DTS Master Audio 5.1/7.1 only in DTS-Core 5.1 and Atmos and DTS-True HD Nothing yet. Wish that this Himedia Box can be the best one but we are waiting all of us the new firmware and also the New custom with serverals changes as usely, so we are waiting the new one SOON, very SOON.

I'm still looking for anyone who has the RX-A750 to confirm this is a good receiver and has no issues with Q10 Pro.  Must be at least one of you out there.

Also, why isn't there a easy to find LIST of incompatible receivers??  Shouldn't that be  the sticky in this thread?

Maybe there isnt really any incompatible receivers ... and its just error(s) in user settings/kodi settings/Q10 Pro settings ?

I have Q10 pro -> Yamaha 679 -> LG Oled 930

If you try put HDMI Ouput = LPCM you hear all dts audio.
