Q10 Pro with HDMI 2.0 Vs Q10 4K with HDMI 1.4
« on: May 01, 2016, 06:23:00 PM »
Hi everybody,

After testing my new Himedia Q10 Pro with my Panasonic Viera VT50 and my receiver Yamaha YSP-2200 with 1.4 HDMI cable witch work well with my old Q10 4K, my question is to know if there is a compatibilty with HD Audio DTS-HD, True-HD and Atmos sound.

Did there is a real difference if we use an HDMI 1.4 with the Q10 Pro and don't have error problem for decoded the HD Audio ????
Actualy even if i set correctly the setting:

HDMI: RAW
SPDIF: Close
HBR Output: 7.1

And have setting also Kodi with passtrough with AC3 and DTS output capability, have some problem to have the True-HD 7.1, Master HD 7.1 and Dolby Atmos.

So can everyone or Futeko can explain that way for me and everyone who have already TV and Receiver in 1.4 HDMI. ??? THANKS

I don't think it's as simple as a HDMI 1.4 problem. Many people with HDMI 1.4 setups are having no problems. Please post setup details  in this thread to help diagnose the problem: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=793.0

Have you enabled 8 channel decoding ?

All audio formats play fine for me (passthrough via HDMI into my Yamaha AV receiver)

DSP prtocessing is NOT enabled. The "blue" button is a bad colour to show/not show

from my photo , I have enabled the following ....

Maintain original volume on downmix
Support 8 channel DTS-HD audio decoding
Enable passthrough
