Subtitles and Menues in 3D Movies
« on: April 25, 2016, 10:11:03 AM »
First of all I'd like to highlight that Q10 Pro is an excellent media player and on its way to become best in class. However, there is still space left for improvement, e.g. regarding 3D options.

When watching 3D movies subtitles and menues remain in  2D position. At least I didn't find an option to place subtitles on top of the  3D screen.  This possibility exists for instance in Mede8er 600X3D which also displays menues in 3D.

There is an option "3D Sub Adjust" but when I click on "Open" nothing happens.

Could you at least point me into the right direction or provide this functionality in one of the next upgrades?

Thanks

if you mean is there a setting to move the subtitles from the bottom of the screen to the top..  I have when playing around found this function in the Himedia internal player.  The Menu function had a sliding scale which moves the subtitles up or down, but I'm not sure if it will reach way up to the top of the screen. However I cant actually remember where I found the function.  Try searching the BD Lite Menu (which is accessed by pressing the menu button during playback) of the internal player esp under Subtitle options..

That's not what I mean as moving subtitles on top or front of the screen is regular 2D functionality.

What I mean is that in 3D screens subtitles and menues should be placed upfront and not at the original 2D position. That 's the difference between 2D and 3D subtitles and at least what my Mede8er is doing, besides the option to move them within the stereo position.

Forum member and beta tester hdmkv should know as he is the 3D expert of the kodi team.

Sorry I  miss understood your meaning..

Don't use subtitles much myself so cant really comment on whether it would be a good option to have or not.
