Hopefully hdmkv will answer himself later, but my opinion is that you do not have to adjust settings excessively to get a good picture.

The main choice is whether to have the Imprex Engine turned on or off. It's HiMedia's picture quality improvement engine and, in my opinion, significantly improves the image. So I would turn it on. Some people prefer the image with as few modifications as possible so would want it off.

The Q10 Pro does have many image quality settings, but you will get a great picture without touching any of them.

I think I did answer you @ Kodi forum, if you're @PINA there. Anyway, just re-posting here in case, and echoing some of what @Futeko just said...

You can disable Imprex 2.0 processing engine completely. But, I'd give it a try as Impex works in similar manner to the highly regarded Darbee Darblet. It's about the levels to which you apply options w/Imprex, as over-applying it will indeed result in nasty edge enhancement, unnatural contrast, etc. I usually pick 'optimal' and have most options at 'low'. You can also, like w/Darbee, do a split screen with and w/o the PQ processing to help you decide.

My settings are in the video here, from timestamp 11:34 to 11:57, except I also set Dynamic Contrast to low.

But, my settings may not be your settings. Good thing you can play around, or disable Imprex entirely. Mild application of it does help PQ as HiSilicon seems to have taken a similar approach to Darbee of trying to add that extra pop, depth to picture w/o introducing unwanted artifacts.
