Q10 and HiControl
« on: April 16, 2016, 01:06:35 PM »
Possibly a simple question. I've got an old Q5II and use the HIControl app with it without issue - however when using it with the Q10 Pro I can control it, but I don't get an image on my phone.

I note from the download page the HiControl app mentions it is for Android 5.X upwards, whereas my phone is still at 4.X - is this the problem? (which I can solve, I've just been lazy keeping my phone up to date!)

Thanks.

A few people have reported this, so I don't think it's an Android 4 vs 5 problem.

I'll get an answer from HiMedia on Monday.

HiControl certainly should work with Q10 Pro, including mirroring. If it doesn't now then it will be fixed.

Tried with Nexus 7 tablet (Android 6.0) and Galaxy s4 (Android 5.0) and can confirm that no image on both. Seems all other functionality is ok including sound.

I think this did work in earlier test versions of Q10 Pro firmware, so it's a regression in current firmware.

HiMedia are investigating and it will be fixed.
