I did download the 2.1.4 from Mediafire, but unfortunately I can't extract the file with Winzip or WinRar or 7Zip. Is there a way to upload the extracted file for this site, or send me the extracted file by e-mail. I would like to have this version very much. With previous "update" versions I never had any problems.

You downloaded the zip file. why do you want to extract it?

The zip file format must be used to update the device.

Thanks to all for the valuable responses. I will try it the suggested way. I always thought to extract the file first and use the extracted file for installation. Thanks again!

Steve,  You must copy the update.zip to the root of a FAT32 formatted USB pen drive. (the USB pen drive should contain a single file called 'update.zip').

I know BUT by using update.zip I get a message saying "NO FILE FOUND" if I remove only "zip" and then install under "update" then I have no probleem

Even if Futeko's had something "more important to do", to publish and comment the new FW so far: Any new user testing/experiences of the pros/kontras would be handful regarding the new OFW 2.1.4.

Is 2.1.4 really official FW? How come it's not listed on 1st page?

"SteveFJR" You are right with the renaming from "Update Zip". I bumped into that problem too, and I just renamed it to only "Update", than it will really do the update. It's a minor problem but annoying. Good luck from a Dutchman in Thailand.

1. audio files do NOT work with media center; but they work with file manager... this may be a bug..? very nice UI for audio, i love it!

Can someone confirm this?

Also interested, if the colorspace/bitdepth switching bug is still present or fixed?

THX!
the audio files in the internal hdd does not play with media center but OK with file manager; videos play fine.
the same audio files in an ext hdd play fine with media center.
the same audio files on pc play fine with media center via smb.

the int hdd audio files not playing with media center did not happen with any previous firmwares.
i conclude either 2.1.4  is missing something for the int hdd or the hdd now has some incompatibility creeping up, maybe too old..?

No such incompatibility possible that could cause this, neither the "age" of your HDD, if it plays other files fine otherwise.  It sounds like a software bug in Media Center.

Can someone check if is now NFS share playback working from KODI with Wrapper automatically?

In your case Windows is hiding the zip extension, there's an option to always show file extensions in file explorer.

Even if Futeko's had something "more important to do", .....

If you checked the website you will see that he has been on holiday from 25th May and 9th June. People are entitled to holidays are they not?

I'm sure that he will comment on his return tomorrow?

Usually I don't "check" particularly for anything that I don't aware of that I should check. I'm navigating mostly on this section of the Forum, and no clues here whatever regarding, so I guess lets just drop this topic... At least I know the reason now.
