The 10bit colourspace options can be restored in 2.1.0 by pressing 0 3 5 1 in sequence on the Himedia remote.

I don't know why this setting was hidden and I can't provide more detailed instructions, but the above has been tested and works.

Thanks.  I tried this and it worked.  I now have this hooked up to a Vizio P-series TV and have a color space question I'm hoping can be answered.  I have the box set at 2160P 60Hz and, according to websites I should be able to select YCbCr 444 10bit yet I get a message that it isn't supported.  I've tried lowering the refresh rate to 2160p 30Hz and 24Hz to see if it was an HDMI spec thing.  Still...won't accept YCbCr 444 10bit.  I can get it to accept YCbCr 420 10Bit.  Admittedly, I'm no expert on color space so can someone highlight what the incompatibility is and what my optimum refresh and color space should be?  Otherwise, 2.1 is working better for me than 2.0.7 - 2.0.9.

You should be able to set 4K / 444 / 10bit only for and under 30Hz. Tho' I have read elsewhere, that some TV's and more likely projectors can't accept 444 even on these lower Hz setting with 4K.

Personally I won't advise to set anything less than 50-60Hz for the GUI, and also because it seams that the HiMedia player would do an auto switch to 422 or 420 when a video is played anyway, even if you would set 444 / 30Hz for the GUI,  which I don't know the reason why (maybe this is a compatibility fallback).

The best would of course it even with 4K / 60Hz / 420 GUI setting it would switch to 444 for any video under 30fps if the display supports it.

Tip: Check if the Box is connected to the right HDMI port on your TV dedicated to Bu-ray/Media Players and also set the HDMI source respectively in the TV's menu. And check if it's not in some kind of "limited" or "boosted" color mode both in the AVR and in the TV.

Mount 81...thanks.  I did a little more research last night and found that compatibility was a bit misleading...in order for the TV to accept 444 it would need to be set to "Computer."  Like you said, I have it set to 60Hz and it looks like I'll just have it at 420 10 bit.  I enabled the 24Hz function in Settings and it appears to work on content that is set for that.

On the international site the firmware is only for Chinese models?

I do not understand why firmware 2.1.0 is not yet released, and the difference with that released by Futeko.

Thank you

OK for the first question, I already wrote e-mails a long time ago but they never replied to me.
I ask if there are differences with those issued by Futeko.
Thank you

With 2.0.6 there's a bug with the Wrapper (I guess): .m2ts videos won't play (Video Problem), even after renamed to .mkv when playback would start from KODI.  When trying with Media Center alone, it works. I guess it would have something to do with the palyercorefactory.xml lines, but not so sure...

Is it the same with the later firmwares as well?

Good evening
I never understood if there is a difference between the OTA version and the version that you download on this forum.
And above all, why is the update procedure preferable via recovery mode (reset button)?
Thank you

Build is: 1.1.0.2017.3.15.164418

Can i upgrade to Android 7 and is it improving my player?
Do i have to install all previous updates first?

You have to install first version 2.0.4 "Q10 PRO RUNNING  ANDROID 5.1 FIRMWARE VERSION 1.0.7 - 1.1.0", after you let the box boot at least one time install the latest 2.1.0. You can get the links in the first page of this topic.
Upgrading using the restore button method is recommended, backup any data that you need first.

You can update via settings menu with the upgrade file in a USB flash drive and you won't lose any settings

Because there is a small risk, depending on what firmware you have and what apps you have installed, that an update by the menu will break the system.  We tend towards safety.
