Yet no news from himedia team to read the new 4k full 1.1 movies with menu, with AACS2 protection bypassed ???? Yet himedia player can not read these movies:
Puffs 2, , patriots days, inferno , la la land.

Du you mean the ISO File, or the file inside?

Futeko, I really miss the full support the dvd menu in file.iso. Is there any hope for it?

I haven't heard anything. You can get DVD ISO full menus by playing the ISO in Kodi using native player.

I do not want to change anything in Kodi, now works great. Maybe you know some player from Google Play that supports full menu in dvd iso

Kodi is best for DVD ISO. Select the file in Kodi, press remote menu button and choose 'Play using', 'Videoplayer'. This will play it using internal player.

I checked, works very well. Thank you futeko :)

You may download this file to try. It rips in AVC codec and shown 1280 x 544 (2.35 : 1) at Mediainfo. If you play this file on computer at window mode, it will not show black bar on top and bottom unless you play in full screen.

A few MB sample would have been enough.  ;D

But black bars present with HiMedia Player and it plays in the correct aspect ratio:

I tried, you are correct. Only the 4K HDR files with 3840 x 16xx aspect ratio plays stretch vertically. 1080p and 720p movie plays correctly. I may play it at older firmware before. Thank you.

Futeko, Himedia,

Well, new firmware must be to be see at the end of the last week-end!!!! BUT AT THIS TIME NOTHING.

What's happend after told us Chinese holidays and so on..... Since the last time it will be very nice to hear all of customers from the Q10 Pro to make satisfaction and resolve all bugs from HDR, BT2020 error, wrong resolution from 3860p x 1600p etc.... Can we expected at the begining of july, or august or perhaps never since to tell us that a new Ultra Hd Box is comming..... Do you think we can trust Himedia again.  :-\

I'm also done with HiMedia, here with a totally useless box!
First, the st process and now Google Partner Setup has stopped.
Have been installed several times, it is actually set.  :(
Now I have 2.0.3, I really hope 3.0 will be without problems today?

90days  without  new update firmware.......It is very unpleasant, given the egreat competitor that reads the 4k full 1.1 with menus

76 days to be precise as 2.0.3 is dated 2017-04-12.

All the same, too long wait to include some basic features like BD menu, correcting unusual HDR aspect ratio etc.
Hope the BD menu, whenever it is included, will also support UHD BD menu. Otherwise we will have to wait another 6 months for that!

I am tempted to dump this and go for Egreat A5, at least for the proper BD menus, even UHD BD menu, I have heard.
Anyway, since HiSilicon has to solve the HDR ratio issue, both HiMedia and Egreat would benefit at the same time...

I gave up waiting and ordered an NVIDIA Shield. This box was expensive compared to the cheap Chinese Android boxes out there and I expected better quality and service, will definitely be warning people away from this device on other forums I visit.   Good luck to you all, I hope you eventually get the update and that it solves more issues than it introduces, though I doubt it...
