There is a solution to  change in stroke effect into subtitles settings from  blue outline in thicker black ?

I'm nearsighted and I find it easier to read so....  :-[

Glasses. I use them as well. :D
Alternatively use MX Player. Switching to it fixes lot of bugs that is related to HiMedia player and gives you better customization features with subtitles, interface, etc. If you are interested read this topic:

Updated my Q5Pro successfully to Android 7.
i want know to downgrade from kodi 17 back to kodi 16.1 which was working nice under android 5.1
In the google play store there is no 16.1 available any more.
On the official kodi-homepage you can download older version, but i dont know which is the right for my hardware.
can anyone help me and provide the correct 16.1 link for my q5-pro?

I mounted kodi 17 on android 5.1 and it work very stable. passtrough function well in 7.1I  tested  movies with sound dolby x, 5.1 Dolby HD master and everything is ok. kodi 17 is also much more 'beautiful as the old architecture  and option than of 16.1 . I would not return for sure to kodi 16.1 , indeed try 'very early in the Kodi version v18.0 "Leia" (nightly)

I am having a issue after upgrading to the firmware to Android 7.  I am having a problem running Nova Launcher.  it alows me to set it up, but after that...it doesn't kick in.  When i was on Android 5.1 i never had this problem.

Did you try to manually launch it?  It it runs, then just change the default loader to nova - done.

that's the problem, i can open it up the first time its opens to set it up, but it never loads up.  I also notice there is no HOME option in the setting menu to say even change the launcher.

I would start over to be sure nothing is messed up.  Load the current firmware again using paper clip, you will lose everything so backup what you need.  Then download Nova Launcher from the Google store.  After the install you should be able to launch it, click on the icon.  After the setup screen  I think you have to Save and Load, I will have to go look at the mine to confirm, but look for something like that.  Once you get it to load up, you'll need to go to Settings and change the default loader to Nova.   If you have used Nova before, this is straight forward.   If not , google it and read up on how to customize / configure.

Hi.
I updated to 2.01 Android 7. The upgrade was without problems....BUT. Kodi 17 is a peace of shit.

Before i had Android 5.1.1 and Kodi 14 i guess and nearly everything was fine.

Now...Kodi 17 only problems...
1. Like before i steam mvk from NAS. Now some are shuttering. Most 720p.
2. Audio passtrough is not working. I use the same AV Receiver as before.
With the Media Player everything is fine. No shuttering. Sound normal...what is wrong with this kodi shit?

hi again,
ich used google to find solutions like passtrough Kodi 17 or Sync Framerate but nothing worked.
I downgrade to 5.11 with Kodi 16.1..AND...all is good. all.

the little android 5.11 problems to nougat are not worth to test the whole day for a solution.

so i have to say sorry Kodi guys... i wait for a stable version.

I also don't like a RC version preinstalled with the new firmware, but installation of Kodi 16.1 from Play Store was no problem, you just have to open the wrapper app and check the second option afterwards.

But there is a problem with my german USB keyboard. The mapping of y, z and special characters is wrong, although I set input language to german (not german QWERTY). Is this a known issue in 2.0.1?

Choppy with both internal and wrapper for me.

Yes shuttering video playback is a no go on Kodi 17

Surprisingly this is only himedia Q10 problem...I have Zidoo X9s and Kodi 17 video doesn't shutter at all in it

Too bad a box with so much reputation cannot fix this issue which is basic video playback

Audio passthrough is another issue but video shutter is a showstopper

Futeko pls do something and fix it asap

There is no point spending so much money on hiend media box which can't even play video properly let alone audio passthrough

Where other boxes are working fine

If you use the wrapper then there should be no issues with audio pass through and video play back, further more , if you use HiMedia media center then audio and video playback are really excellent. For me that is the MAIN thing when I brought this device, seeing my movies and videos and audio files in the best quality possible , meaning 4K, HDR, DTS-HD, DOLBY TRUE HD ,. ATMOS etc.[/size]For me having problems with some KODI addons is not really a big issue, if they fix it , great, a nice to have thing, if not  I wlll still love this device and have no regrets to have bought it.

It all must also work fine in Kodi player, that's why a mediaplayer is for, not that you have to use different players!
Video and audio in Kodi 17 work fine on most mediaplayers, so  HiMedia have to fix this too!

I repeat: the only thing you have to do is set in wrapper app to use HiMedia player, after that you can use KODI and audio will work. The other players you mention are not even close in quality, audio output options and support. Previously whenever I bought some cheaper android player the firmware it came never ever got updated. It is very rare to see this support where you get firmware updates every 1-2 months and for me main issues of picture and audio have been solved. Of course it is not perfect, but I trust newer firmwares will keep on coming and main issues will be addressed.
