I used the method here..

http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=669.0

I tried to flash 106L1 to my MiniMX which previously had Openelec installed. I connected the device via usb and followed all the steps and hit start. Nothing happened it just sat there for an hour so I stopped it. Now I cannot access recovery via toothpick and when I connect to USB Burning Tool it says 'Connect Success' for two seconds and then dissappears and shows 'HUB2-1' still.

I can still boot into Openelec but I need to put Android back on and be able to access recovery again.

Any ideas? I have previously had success recovering my M8 using the Amlogic Boot Card Maker and u-boot.bin but I don't see these same files with the MiniMX firmware to use this method.

be sure to run as admin the USB burning tool  , here is the steps:

1. load the .img file
2. click the start button
3. toothpick the reset button of your box
4. put the power plug together with tootpick then you will see it will be connected
5. release the toothpick
6. wait to finish the upload of file to your box (around 2mins.)
7. press stop button and unplug the USB to your box

note: donot use your PS when using USB burning tool

I did all that and it wouldn't stay connected.

What I did here was since Openelec would still boot I SSH
entered 'reboot recovery' and it rebooted the box into recovery.
flashed the s905_105L1 firmware via recovery and recovery works once again via toothpick method.

Also now when USB Burning Tool recognizes the box.

If it's of any help to anyone else, I finally got the USB Burning tool to connect and the img file to load (first and only time so far). The above steps are correct, but imho I think holding the button down all the way to 'start' made a difference:

1) I pressed the reset/recovery button and held it down continually after plugging in the USB cable for power...keep holding it down...
2) Still holding the button down, I hit 'refresh' in the burning tool, at which point it saw the USB Hub and connected--still held the reset button down...
3)  I kept holding the reset button and clicked 'start', at which point it started loading, and after a few seconds I released the button and worked!

Still trying to get the box to not boot loop...but at least I was able to finally get the USB Burning Tool (v2.0.5.15) to work.
