sudden stuttering in Dune HD Real Pro Vision 4k

I recently purchased a Dune HD Pro Vision 4K and noticed that when watching 4K content (23.976 MB), I experience stuttering after a while. To avoid it, I have to pause the movie for a few seconds and then resume it.
I play content locally via a 1 TB HDD. I've tried all sorts of settings but can't fix it.
I have a Zidoo Z9s on which the content plays without any issues.
