Hello,

I have a question. I have been using Himedia Q10 Pro since 2016. It works well. I watch only full bluray 1080p or 4K HDR10. After 8 years of using Himedia Q10 Pro I thought maybe I should buy a new Player.
My only reason is PICTURE QUALITY. I read a lot of stuff here and there and some say that Himedia Q10 Pro is old but great device for SDR and HDR10 some say new Players like Zidoo Z30 Pro or Dune HD 8K Solo are much better solely in terms of picture quality. I do not care about DV, 8K, KODI, etc.

Has anybody used Himedia Q10 Pro before (or something similar) then bought Z30 Pro or Dune HD 8K Solo (or any other newer product from 2024 with latest Amlogic S928X) and can assess pictures quality only?

HiMedia Q10 Pro had awesome picture quality. The new Zidoo and Dune players are also excellent, but certainly not 'much better'.

The main reason to upgrade would be support for modern formats and a vastly better user interface when compared to the old HiMedia boxes.

I am also looking to replace my HiMedia Q10 Pro. Currently looking at:

Zidoo Z30 Pro
Zidoo Z3000 Pro
Dune HD Solo 8K

My Q10 Pro still works, interface is a bit clunky. Is there any advantage to upgrade, if so which one of the above stands out in terms of picture quality, sound quality and usability.
