WALL.E - how to correctly scrape with Zidoo
« on: November 08, 2023, 03:15:42 AM »
I just purchased a Zidoo Z9X Pro, and I imported all the movies on my NAS. There were about 8 movies the Zidoo couldn't match, but they were easily fixed, and another 8 the Zidoo had not matched corrctly. ONE of those movies (the Pixar movie Wall.E), for the life of me I cannot find a way for the Zidoo to scrape the correct movie! I've tried "wall.e", "wall-e", both capitalized and lower case. However, every time I try, the alternate title the Zidoo suggests ALWAYS removes the dash or period, so I'm always left searching the same list of movies, which does NOT include the Pixar title I'm trying to find. I don't have a USB keyboard so I can only use the Zidoo remote.

Is there a tip of some sort anyone can give me to search this title out correctly? I haven't started on my TV episodes yet - I just want to finish off my movies. I'm grateful for any tips you can give.

Problem solved - I figured it out. The Pixar film appears in the film list if you search for 'wall'.

...and editing with a USB keyboard is a LOT easier than using the remote.

An easier way to edit is to use a PC / Mac connected to the same network as the Zidoo box.

Navigate to the IP address of the Zidoo to find Zidoo's web app with a built in comprehensive media library editor. This is a good guide: https://www.mcbluna.net/wp/guides/guide-home-theater-web-frontend/
