Hi all, plenty of posts about how to install the "_G" firmware for the UHD3000 but cant find anything for the Neo Alpha.. will it work on both?

You need the correct firmware for the box, you cannot install (for example) UHD3000 firmware on NEO Alpha.

I don't see a NEO Alpha Google Services firmware but I will confirm with Zidoo and update here.

Zidoo say that they have no plans to add Play Services to the NEO models.

There are disadvantages to running Play Services on Android devices because they run in the background and can interrupt other apps. This is why all the Zidoo boxes ship without Play Services by default.

Most apps can be installed by finding the .apk file and running it (selecting it) in Zidoo Media Center.

Some apps are available as .apk from the vendor's website, whilst you'll find the rest on the many apk mirror sites. e.g. Tidal: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/tidal/tidal-tidal/
