Newbie to Pro Vision Solo questions

This isn't my first rodeo,
I read about this and would like to 'step up' from what I have now. The 2160p material isn't a priority for me, same goes, thou not as much for BD movies (I really don't have either at this point).I have a Zidoo X10 now and I don't like their player. They refuse to solve the aspect ratio problem with TV series episodes defaulting to 4x3 when it should be 16x9. It also affects some movies with slimmer aspect ratios vertically. Among other things.

Questions for Dunes Pro Vision Solo owners:
1. Can the Movie Poster feature be turned off with the internal player? I'm looking for just a text list of movies for the directory. I don't need/want 'posters' especially when many of my recordings are not movies (various clips off You Tube for example). The 'KIS' (keep it simple) principal.
2. How well does this work with Android 3rd party players as far as the stock IR remote if I don't like the stock Dune player?
3. Can Linux 3rd party players be loaded or is it only Android programs that can be installed?
4. Does the HDMI IN work similar to Zidoos Z10 function/feature where there is a PIP window that can be changed to full screen when it's recording?
5. Any issue accessing the internal HDD from a Windows 7 PC or the other way around (accessing the PC from the Dune)?
6. Can the front USB 2 port to be used to flash the FW or does it have to the the sole USB3 rear port?
