Subtitles just when I need them
« on: January 19, 2022, 08:20:27 PM »
Hi

i have a collection of main movie rips of 4k Blu-rays in m2ts format. I tend to rip these (using DVDFab) so that they have just one soundtrack and one set of (English) subtitles. If I enable subtitles, these work perfectly, but they subtitle everything, even the normal english dialog, rather than just the foreign language elements like it would if I watched the disc.
I have no idea how subtitles work so I’m probably being daft, so excuse my lack of knowledge. However, if there’s a way I can get just the foreign language elements to show subtitles on the uhd3000 that would be the icing on the cake.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Adrian

The relevant setting is at Settings - Playback - Forced Subtitle. Auto should work, but if not try setting it to Off.
